(5 years and 1530 days ago)So very clever, reminds me of the pages of the old Lord of the Rings books that had the maps in them (Before I could read) I used to page through them like crazy! Great thinking on this one

(5 years and 1546 days ago)Author please fix your first link, it goes to Morgue file home page. Can you please explain what is unexpected here.
(5 years and 1546 days ago)I have to agree with CMYK46. I don't see what is so unexpected or incredible about your image.
(5 years and 1546 days ago)I don't get it. (And please fix your first link, it just leads to the Morguefile home page).
(5 years and 1546 days ago)Scary & well blended. I wonder how he shaves...
(5 years and 1549 days ago)That's one that could come in a nightmare eeeeewwwwww
(5 years and 1550 days ago)Right find of sources and blend. Good one author. Really scary and disturbing. Good luck
(5 years and 1550 days ago)Maybe sharpen the teeth a bit (Simple Hard smudge, gentle liquify, or cloning the tips into points, at the moment they look like chisels, which is a bit unsettling, but sharpening them would knock it over the top so it looks more carnivorous, ROAR.. great thinking and I love the shading really disturbing LOL
(5 years and 1551 days ago)A Polish Magyar? giggle snort
(5 years and 1551 days ago)Looks like a strange kind of needle point. Very neat effect!
(5 years and 1553 days ago)Creepy! (Needs hi res image).
(5 years and 1553 days ago)Original and well executed. Nice job
(5 years and 1556 days ago)I knew the military were using lasers on their planes Definitely an interesting image. I understand that you made the planes a little bigger to appear in the foreground, however, the perspective isn't quite right. Making them smaller would make the attacker seem even bigger as well as the damage the lasers are doing to it. Just my opinion. Great job!
(5 years and 1556 days ago)Congrats on 5th and 4th
(5 years and 1557 days ago)Congrats!
(5 years and 1557 days ago)tablet comes handy while sketching.., but when its time to chop , pen tool is the king. you should consider clipping mask to include in your entries.., it saves a lot of time in shading and highlighting. I am not a master with shadows either, but the way to master it is the observation I think. find as many photographs and study it. good luck to you author, keep ur entries coming..
(5 years and 1557 days ago)There ya go! How do you get to Carnegie Hall? PRACTICE!!!
(5 years and 1558 days ago)I am not going to talk about perspective here... hats off that you created everything from the given image. incense sticks are very nice..
(5 years and 1558 days ago)There are sharp edges that pops out. By using the blur tool (mostly for the edges of far away objects) it could be fixed. The shadows are not consistent, you must take a look at that. Also the candle melting part needed more finished look. I would suggest you to have good references and remake it. I'm sure this will a finest entry in the end if you get the time to update.. Good luck author
Congrats my friend
(5 years and 1558 days ago)Congrats George
(5 years and 1558 days ago)Congrats!
(5 years and 1558 days ago)Author, it's much better now. You can see the perspective on the tops of the two objects is still different. The shapes of the ellipses should be proportional. Also, the light source from the left is stronger than the candlelight, so the snail shadow should be adjusted.
(5 years and 1558 days ago)Using warp to "PUSH" the base of the top candle holder into the right direction will be helpful to shape (Puppet warp if you need to do real detail work) Your eyes will guide you (always save a PSD file before you start working on it so you can start again if you screw up, I do all the time.) hehehe. Distort/perspective tools work too, but they have a tendency to do TOO good of a job and screw up the shaping. (the tops go wonky) Distort (squeezing the base) of the incense burner might help as well. When you get the position right, use burn (set on highlight) to darken the base to ground it. Since you have a candle (light source) and a burning incense (another light source) and the room lighting (third light source) shadows are a mystery. The only one that really sticks out is the snails shadow, it could be made by the candle light as well as the room light, the shadows would criss/cross and dissipate. You brave little chopper you.
(5 years and 1559 days ago)I'm sure other choppers can help as well. You probably already know how to do it, you just need a little kick in right direction.
great job overall, it's a very neat looking image. Love the colors
The perspective on the incense bowl and the candle holder should be the same. The bottom of the oval thing holding the candle would be in shadow, as the bowl, right now it seems to be floating, and too far forward. The shadows of the objects show 3 different light sources.
(5 years and 1559 days ago)Scary souvenirs Love the idea of adding pot and plant
(5 years and 1560 days ago)Cool effects
(5 years and 1560 days ago)Adorable creature
(5 years and 1560 days ago)Kerpow! Bang! nananananananananana... BATMAN!!!!!
(5 years and 1561 days ago)Fun
(5 years and 1561 days ago)Attack again... Might need an assistance of a superhero to defend your frequent attacks author
(5 years and 1561 days ago)Now just level the gargoyle on the shelf and put a shadow under him and you're mostly there. You might want to darken the highlights on his left (our right) side, too.
(5 years and 1561 days ago)Tell"em "just warm'n up!"
(5 years and 1562 days ago)The light source on the bowl should be making consistent shadows on all objects, and its shadow on the gargoyle would conform to the shape. There are no corresponding shadows on either gargoyle. (Basically you have 3 different light sources here). The perspective of the oval opening of the bowl is different than the shelves. Fix this and you'll have a good image.
(5 years and 1562 days ago)cool.
(5 years and 1563 days ago)They are super cute
(5 years and 1564 days ago)Congrats on third place!
