Used the image of the woods for the background, then... I liquified the same background, filter.... Fresco to get all waved lines using liquify again... set over background and a screen layer effect.... the blood is brush work.. The branches and trunks from plant are from the tree on the background...

The moon or planet was made with a circular selection filled with b and w.... difference clouds … outer glow... spherize… layer set to screen.... added a shadow.... the sunlight is a triangular selection, filled with a gradient, color to nothing.... set to screen.... reduced luminosity.....
