don't doubt you ... don't know you.. though I've never ran into a junkie with love handles... hehehe.. you might want to do some liquefy to make a more gaunt appearance (research some Mapplethorpe self portraits.. he was brilliant at doing that kinda stuff, it also helped he was a real junkie).. good luck on this.. I'd try to make the track line more real as well.. they really are just laying on the surface.. might want to try a light pillow emboss..that will give more of a indention look (think multiple large needle bumps.. not just like red lines)

I think my favorite part of this.. (and it is a very wonderful painting) is that you had the oppourtunity to get rid of the Self Picture Pose.. (The extended hand holding the camera) and YOU DIDN'T.. you could have just made her sitting there..so extra marks for incorporating that part of the image.. it's quite endearing (Merging two worlds.. camera and paint.. LOVE IT

Author.. Must just be me.. I actually have that setting on my computer and I went in and did a full test.. It could be Florida Lighting (I loaded the image into my ps and I set the dodge tool on midtones and 100% and pulled out a HONKING HUGE BRUSH and went over the entire image in a rapid pulse... HOLY MOLY.. wow.. it was like opening a Christmas present filled with fireworks.. all the worked appeared in one big explosion) very beautiful work author. must be my eyes..

very nice image... though the hand reflection is a bit peculiar..like his wrists are reflecting but not his hands.. shouldn't be a big fix for you author.. great talent..and I'm just nitpicking.. overall effect is marvelous.. though you could amp up the chrome feel.. only if you want to..awesome piece all round

Its a very good Idea.. Might want to burn the edge where the puppy meets the fur slightly.. will give it some depth (polish and smooth the edges as well.. there is NOTHING wrong with this image.. it is colorful, well balanced and very caribbean in its feel and nature... BUT 2000 thousands strikes with a wet noodle for cropping of the foot of the fish gathering maiden.. how the HELL am I suppose to frame this author.. I'll cut off her foot (when I worked in the art gallery, the artist used to fear me because I would yell at them for stuff like that LOL) hehehe.. wonderful image.. very inventive and fun
