I think you did great work on the moth, the background being lighter than the subject is a little disorienting to me. perhaps consider a blur to imply the flower is further off the ground?

I would ditch the tv and the text in favor of more detail and clarity. remember show dont tell.

didnt notice the fairy until i stared at the picture for 3-5 minuites, a nice glowing effect might help it stand out.

other than that nice blending and decent shadows

a background of at least a texture would be nice, great job and cute animal!

bytheway, i took a look at the source, pretty sure that is a girl.

i like the shining moonlight on the hood, i think that that effect could add some detail to the rest

a little bit of overlap on the top right corner could also be fixed

i think the butt just needs some highlights as well as the rest of the photo-shopped part of the body to better match the aesthetic of the original, also the skin is quite a different color from the original

what he means is, the stretched pixels look like they have been stretched in Photoshop a little too far, it actually distracts from the images creepiness

that and general burn/dodge on the hair could be used

Jawshoe, stop being such a downer! In the contest theme it says "take a shot which CONVEYS a favorite hobby or intrest". That means that pictures taken after or before are okay as long as they remind you of the hobby... this picture clearly reminds me of fishing and I view the different perspective as a bonus... high marks from me author!
