The flames are very dim. Fire is quite bright at night.
(5 years and 3236 days ago)Nice Job
(5 years and 3236 days ago)The blend is excellent here. Very well done. Follow ARCA's suggestions about adding depth to this image, it will help to make an already great image even better!
(5 years and 3237 days ago)Too dark overall. A lot of the empty black on the left could be cropped off to give this a better composition, and increasing the contrast (or the ambient lighting) would better define the "child." Since the title is "Children of the NIght," I thought it was two poorly illuminated figures until I saw the foot on the left...
(5 years and 3237 days ago)i think his left leg is too long
(5 years and 3237 days ago)Love what you have done here and great drawing on the viking! He is an ideal figure for the source image!!!
(5 years and 3237 days ago)As for the blur you can create a (sort of) false depth-of-field by duplicating the background layer, blurring it (maybe even a bit more than you already have), then you can add a layer mask and use it to "paint" out the blurred image close to the figure allowing more of the blur to show the further away from it you get. (I hope that makes sense ... let me know if you can't figure out what I am saying and I can try and explain better)
Great work!
(5 years and 3237 days ago)Nice work !
(5 years and 3237 days ago)Very very nice work author...gl
(5 years and 3237 days ago)Nice idea
(5 years and 3238 days ago)Nice Work...gl
(5 years and 3238 days ago)love this, good luck!!!!
(5 years and 3239 days ago)This could be so much cooler, don't worry in time you'll get there.
(5 years and 3239 days ago)Too blurry image, author. It would have been better if not so blurry.
(5 years and 3239 days ago)Looks so great! Love it, great idea!
(5 years and 3240 days ago)I bowl every week, and I swear my pins sometimes look like this, lol. Really good work here, looks so real.
(5 years and 3240 days ago)Very nice entry and in such a short time, well done = )
(5 years and 3240 days ago)yesss please author..upload the original image!
(5 years and 3240 days ago)Nice. Works well. As for the blurring it's really a judgment call. A little sharper background might be good since the drawing is fairly sharp and he's not that far from the wheel for it to lose focus.
(5 years and 3240 days ago)Fantastic drawing, though the background seems too blurred compared to viking imo.
(5 years and 3240 days ago)Well done!
(5 years and 3240 days ago)Wow! Amazing!
(5 years and 3240 days ago)Really nice work. You've managed to create something unique, yet STILL maintain the source image. Very well done!
(5 years and 3240 days ago)very good use of source,, good luck!!!
(5 years and 3241 days ago)driven..would the sharpening tool help? this photo is too amazing to be voted low simply because its too pixelated.. i love how it looks like someone broke a bowling pin then neatly put it all back together like humpty dumpty lol..author i will try and see how i can help you out..give me a few minutes to think it through
(5 years and 3241 days ago)use your ACTUAL PIXELS VIEWER and you won't have a better image problem.. unless you built this image ALL in low res.. then I have no way of helping you... (this image would be so impressive if it was in high res, because it could be reproduced in extra large formation)
(5 years and 3241 days ago)Imagine it on a giant fabric print up the side of a building.. woo hoo.. but that is just IMHO.. good luck and great form
You may want to upload a less dimensionally thick image .. the HIGH RES is very blurry (natural effect of size enlargement without the proper DPI or PPI) if you use the ACTUAL PIXELS view option in PS, it is very helpful in deciding what size to save the image as.. the concept is very enjoyable, (imagine this image in downtown bar in the Village ... woo hoo) hehehe
(5 years and 3241 days ago)Creative!
(5 years and 3241 days ago)very very good work author...especially like body shading...best of luck
(5 years and 3241 days ago)love it
(5 years and 3241 days ago)This reminds me of one of those really bizarre sculptures you would expect to see in a gallery for some astronomical price. Good choice for a title. GL!
(5 years and 3241 days ago)Better, although still a bit too dark to tell much of a "story." The green does a good job of helping the color contrast, which improves the overall composition. Good luck!
(5 years and 3242 days ago)It's too dark. The viewer cannot easily make out what your focal point is, or how it relates to the title. Bring up the lighting so it's a full image, not just some light spots.
(5 years and 3242 days ago)Excellent ilustration
(5 years and 3243 days ago)very creative!!
(5 years and 3248 days ago)Too dark at the bottom, but a very creative entry.
(5 years and 3249 days ago)Please fix source links.
(5 years and 3250 days ago)Very clever, love your idea! Well done.
(5 years and 3250 days ago)nice one
(5 years and 3250 days ago)author.. for an entry like this ... you really need to enter a High Res piece so we can see the work.. right now it's very blurry and we can't see the work.. good luck though.. I like the Idea you have taken...
(5 years and 3250 days ago)You can definitely make out the dancing form s a little better now.
(5 years and 3251 days ago)nice one...gl
(5 years and 3251 days ago)I like your use of the source image although if you were to add a little more detail in texture to your metal smith and his hammer, the whole image would blend together better.
(5 years and 3252 days ago)Idea is great, execution needs more work though as waz has suggested.
(5 years and 3252 days ago)Idea is ok but perhaps you want to reconsider your technique. Right now the only way to see the dancers is via SBS, the lines are very hard to see in the final entry. What if, instead of drawing lines yourself, you use the curly (almost dancing lines from the glass structure? It's maybe a bit of a puzzle with selecting the parts and put them all in a logical way so the dance figure appears, but I think the effort would be certainly worth it. Good luck!
(5 years and 3252 days ago)Vvrooooooooom! Very cool, author, clever use of source. Love the checkerboard.
(5 years and 3267 days ago)Author, I'm not sure how big you started your entry out as, but it seems you need to make it high res first, meaning a good size would be at least 1000 PXs high and wide but a good size is 2000 to 3000 pxls. If you started with a low res canvas to begin with, then it won't give you high res just by checking the box.
(5 years and 3267 days ago)This is pretty cool, but it could be better. For ex. you don't need the dustbin in this context.
(5 years and 3269 days ago)Great blending! Very nice work
(5 years and 3270 days ago)I like it, creative, only one thing, cabin is ok ,but inside is unclear, that's just my opinion , GL
