layered in cut-out from my photo of a baby Quaker Parrot, which I had "tinted" blue. Cloned more background and blanket around the baby bird and did some shadow work where the bird's beak meets the foot.

ALl I did was crop and then darken the image then played like crazy with dodge tool to "turn on lights" here and there.
