Use of Mehdi K-scope plugin for Adobe on the cut out. I promised myself when I joined the new PST that this time I would make images for myself that pleased myself - Before I was making myself miserable trying to do something gimmicky that would catch voter's eyes - now, what I make is just for me....
For: shore contest
Only souce - see SBS: Used distort/liquify, then Redfield plugin/water ripples, dodge
Used Corel PSP 9 Circle selection to make the Spheres of "heavy metal". Then floated them over my photo of a small pond in a local garden center. In building SBS, I actually liked what I came up with better than my original version, so I'm doing a swap.

In my line of work, I've touched up a lot of people's photos - This is an image of myself taken by my friend who was with me at the bird store that day..taken with my little Canon Powershot. A lot can be accomplished with a light smudge tool to move neck and chin lines back into youthful place...and...
ALl I did was crop and then darken the image then played like crazy with dodge tool to "turn on lights" here and there.

Perspective is what seemed most important to me about this image. THe photo was taken from a very low angle, almost as if the photographer was laying down next to the object, looking up at it. This precluded my incorporating it into a garden scene, etc. So I took some pics of a bird from a similarly...

layered in cut-out from my photo of a baby Quaker Parrot, which I had "tinted" blue. Cloned more background and blanket around the baby bird and did some shadow work where the bird's beak meets the foot.

My photo of McCaws layered in to the poppy field. I took a few liberties with their feathers with my smudge tool and darkened them and did the d0dge tool thing to highlight.

only one outside image used..my own, and in the end, I didn't use much of it at all. Just turned her upside down and used smudge tool and dodge tool to give her a watery look. - oh, and adjusted color, of course.

Used 2 contest images - I saw this done on the old site so I guess it's acceptable. Dress from Lace and one poppie from the poppie image.
