My only nitpick would be maybe trying to incorporate more of the shapes on the original source. As far as creativity it's very nice.

EDIT: Ah better, you can see the source pattern in the background. Perhaps maybe some more of a little bit different shade but that's just IMO.

agree! but oh wow! i want my lawn to look like this! such wonderful grass! i dont know... but could you move the shadow to the side a bit and take the focal point off it? i really love the wonderfully manicured lawn. the texture is lovely, makes me think about how it feels... younger days of running barefoot... i like this!

yes original drawing , You dont need a scanner . The best way to show drawings or paintings is to photo that. (http://www.dallasartsrevue.com/resources/How-to-Photo-Art.shtml). I like your shading lines.The big tree at left dont help the composition. It is too big and too at edge of frame.
