imo, the perspective is enough.......there are a few shots like this in the contest!

Um, no actually worse. Now it looks like they are part of the pot. I am assuming you did not save the PDF, meaning a file with all the layers used but if you did, try using polygonal lasso tool and edge the pot then select the flower stem layer and erase it that way. Just keep trying. You get it.

Author, I really hope this isn't a sample of your best work, seriously. If you're new, a helpful hint...if you hope to place and win in contests, grainy, out of focus and generally low-quality submissions aren't going to work. Sorry, but although an adorable little one...the photo is very low quality.

Well, the idea is cool, everyone ougtha know that screendump - but it´s a little to simple.

play w/ the texture some more and avoid making them look like clones....same with the butteflies, rotate/change perspective on some of them. this can be a very good image if you get the color and mood right.

What's with the shadow? and the missing parts of the cup and straw?

Compared to the pot, the flowers look very fake. Edges of the flower stems are not edged good, don't quite appear to be coming out of pot. Perhaps play around with dodge and burn to get a better result. I'll hold my vote.

And then no one will want to photograph them either. Rotten fruit is not really a good choice for this contest.

Maybe if you place the light source far from your eye (not too far) you'll get better results!

The area above & under the eye is boh (blow out highlights,it's when the light is to strong,that you loose detail).I think that you should try it again!

It's hard to argue that if this were a scene from a movie, it would not be eligible for a Golden Raspberry given how awful it looks, but for this contest I would prefer something witty and amusing that is a commentary on Hollywood commercialism.

I see what ade means. It's real subtle so that's probably why I missed it the first time. You could liquefy the wider edge side (northwest side) to match the edge of the southeast side if you did it right.

You need to squish the ice cream monster down a bit.

About the lights, they look a bit weird. They're like cut off and looks unnatural. CHeck your 3rd source again, look how the ligths fades away. In fact why dont you use that? Just (roughly) cut out the right part of these rays and put them on the source image, play a bit with the blending modes, perhaps you have to duplicate the layers and see what result you get.
