Great concept, but it's too dark to appreciate all the work you put into it. All you can really see are the eyes and nostrils and a bit of highlight on the back...

Edit: Much better now, we can see the entire creature.

Nice job. Even though the surrounding landscape needs a bit of work to look realistic, I'm very impressed with your boat construction, especially steps 1 and 2 with the boat's ribs and double hull. Makes me wonder if you're a boatbuilder by trade.

love how you distorted the writing seen through the glasses! Miss a bit of shadow underneath but other than that well done!

Pretty cool work, you just entered this so i'm gonna get in quick and suggest that you size down those glasses, they look far to huge in comparison with the book. Other than that little fix, you've got a good piece.

I think you need to try taking your photos in natural light...so people can see your work better.
did you do alot of this with knife?
another thing, edges aren't very visable...it would be good to add just a bit of dimension there, perhaps by a lighter line around some of them... i realize it might not be what you were going for in terms of style..but it would benifit the viewer immensely.

You can merge more pictures into one to diminish the number of steps. If you merge 4 pics in one step you'll get to 12 steps, that's 35 less uploads.

I'm giving higher marks for the simple idea that you didn't go 'menacing' or 'scary'. You avoided the trend and thought outside the box. Nice work, author!

You haven't included in your SBS how you textured your objects to achieve the painterly look of this render. The material on Charon's arm also seems to have a mapping issue.

Wouldn't mind seeing that on my street, or even in my house. There's something cute and pet-like about it. I like how it looks recycled out of junk. Although it does look a little bumbling, like it would knock things over with its flailing long arms LOL.
