Well-drawn.
(5 years and 3292 days ago)It would help if you could explain your idea a little because all this looks like is that you've smudged the mouth area. The emotions in the eyes and almost everything else is practically unchanged. Although she's an amazing looking woman, what is your reason for using this particular picture as a subject for "Abuse"??
(5 years and 3292 days ago)You haven't included in your SBS how you textured your objects to achieve the painterly look of this render. The material on Charon's arm also seems to have a mapping issue.
(5 years and 3292 days ago)Simple but strong. Maybe a little too simple? I like your technique of combining Photoshop and Bryce 3D, though Photoshop took care of most of your modelling Good luck.
(5 years and 3292 days ago)Simple but a little too illustrative as opposed to realistic. GL.
(5 years and 3292 days ago)Extremely fabulous, if that's a term! The textured lines converging to the door and contrast of pitch black to blown out is magnetic. Definitely faving this!
(5 years and 3292 days ago)It's like a prisoner's point of view, trapped in a room and looking through the keyhole to his freedom Just curious as to where you took this and what, if any, technical considerations you made.
I think the butterflies and girl need to be better blended and adjusted to look as if they actually belong in this environment. Although you've used a reflection, it's not all gelling together very well. Maybe try playing around with the hue-sat levels of the girl and add some filters and highlights to her to make her look like she belongs in this pink, dreamy universe.
(5 years and 3292 days ago)The dice perspective seems to be off, which is taking away from the realism. Similarly, it would be better if the 8 ball and star object also received the light and shadow influences from the fire.
(5 years and 3292 days ago)Nice textures and especially like how you created the hand. I think you could improve this vastly if the light on the cards wasn't so flat. Try using a gradient or a lighting effect on the cards to remedy this. They also seem to be floating on the table, maybe because of the kind of shadow they have. But generally, the idea is good and its quite well-executed.
(5 years and 3292 days ago)I think its trying to escape the pollution. The various elements need to be better blended, author. Try adding some shadows and adjustment layers to make make them look less cut and pastey.
(5 years and 3292 days ago)Wow, an amazing look for 3D. Would love to see your SBS before I vote. Good luck.
(5 years and 3292 days ago)Double congrats on a breathtaking image as well as coming first on your your very first entry here!
(5 years and 3292 days ago)Oh my gosh, the shadows! Beautiful!
(5 years and 3292 days ago)Wow! You even wrote the number by hand!
(5 years and 3292 days ago)Is that 2,012 dollars or 20 dollars12? Coz I definitely want one of these on my night table! I like how you'd have to look into both eyes of the skull to know the time
(5 years and 3292 days ago)Concept is really cool, your text though is kind of spoiling the image. Maybe try a different way to lay it out or a more "scary" looking font. In my opinion, your price info could also be less obvious. Good luck!
Interesting.
(5 years and 3292 days ago)It tells some sort of sad story. I like the mood you've created.
(5 years and 3292 days ago)You've put some creative thought into this but unfortunately, your final image is not showing this hard work. Throw some light on it.
(5 years and 3292 days ago)Now THAT is amazing. I almost feel like I'm there, caught in that dusty old room with the old grandfather clock.
(5 years and 3292 days ago)Not bad at all!
(5 years and 3293 days ago)My goodness, that cap is definitely the star of this picture! LOL. What a LOT of work you put into it! Congratulations on your first digital drawing entry
(5 years and 3293 days ago)That's definitely a caricature in my books, though maybe not as extreme. Excellent drawing skills and final image too. Well done
(5 years and 3293 days ago)There's something captivating about this. Maybe it's the camera angle or the play of light on the leaves or the silver lining. I think it's how the stems of the plant seem to circle the sun. I love it!
(5 years and 3293 days ago)There's so much to love in this picture! The sun rays (despite the flare) the tiny rays in the bottom right corner of the window, the transparency of the curtains, the vintage sepia feel, the frame within a frame and of course...the arched cat! A deceptively mundane but magical moment caught on camera. Congratulations!
(5 years and 3293 days ago)Perfect subject for a blown-out look. The angle is also very good.
(5 years and 3293 days ago)I do like how you have some detail with the bloom even at the back, but the blown out portion just feels very stark and sudden. I like your entry for all the shades or red we can see in it.
(5 years and 3293 days ago)Definitely very dreamy...pulls you in.
(5 years and 3293 days ago)Photos like these prove that blown out can also be beautiful.
(5 years and 3293 days ago)Great SBS and very good image. Although I do agree that the textured water wall behind the figure is making it all too busy.
(5 years and 3293 days ago)Your SBS shows how a simple technique, well-executed can create such an amazing result. Beautiful!
(5 years and 3294 days ago)Another eerie use of the blue eye. She looks like a blue phantom who hypnotizes with her eyes. I personally don't like the multiple eyes all around. Maybe if they'd been the whole eyes instead of just the iris...But it tells a story anyway. Well done.
(5 years and 3294 days ago)A very eerie and engaging image. Good work!
(5 years and 3294 days ago)Smoke with a bleeding ink look with chimneys doing funky things! Way out! I like that you experimented, but I wonder what the thought was behind your concept? I do still love the colours nonetheless.
(5 years and 3294 days ago)Nice ambiance.
(5 years and 3294 days ago)Now that's how you want to look is you ever get lost in time.
(5 years and 3294 days ago)Simple but impactful. Really good.
(5 years and 3295 days ago)that is awesome, both idea and execution
(5 years and 3295 days ago)It is beautiful but I wish I could see more detail in your main subject. Maybe if you selectively increase the contrast and saturation in some areas, it won't feel as washed-out. The blending of her dress against the background could be improved as well.
(5 years and 3295 days ago)Congratulations on coming 3rd!
(5 years and 3295 days ago)Congratulations on 2nd place!
(5 years and 3295 days ago)Clever, well done!
(5 years and 3295 days ago)But what about the yellow door?
(5 years and 3296 days ago)Love it! The contrast between the the original surreal source and your stylized use of it is wonderful.
(5 years and 3296 days ago)Interesting, though with the title, "Let me See", I think it would've been cooler if the hands were pulling the top eye-lid as well for a more straining to look effect.
(5 years and 3297 days ago)Well-modelled with good texturing and lighting. Conceptually, I love the idea of self-sustaining, garbage-eating bacteria but feel the design of your bin is too basic for that. It looks likes the omnivorous bacteria inside the bin might escape from the place where you throw the trash and spread all over the world!
(5 years and 3297 days ago)Idea is good and so is the modelling. I think you could have paid a little more attention to the lighting and texturing which feels somewhat flat and is bringing it down a little. I love how in the shadow it looks like a little anthro-insect creature.
(5 years and 3297 days ago)Wouldn't mind seeing that on my street, or even in my house. There's something cute and pet-like about it. I like how it looks recycled out of junk. Although it does look a little bumbling, like it would knock things over with its flailing long arms LOL.
(5 years and 3297 days ago)Somewhat reminiscent of Rosie in "The Jetsons"! I wouldn't want to bump into it at night, the shot of it in low-light is little spooky!! How does it "run" by the way? And what do it's arms do?
(5 years and 3297 days ago)I like how you've designed a regular-looking dustbin going around on heavy duty tank tracks How does it operate? Does it follow the garbage or do you have to follow it around with your garbage? Texturing and lighting is good!
