The font seems "out of touch" with the rest of the image...
(5 years and 2972 days ago)How beautiful it is at night. Very nice capture.
(5 years and 2972 days ago)The left hand side, with the "ladder" that looks to be coming from the one woman's shoulders is distracting from your focal point, the dancing couple, and adds nothing to the image. You should consider cropping it to remove the distraction and redirect the focus to the subject.
(5 years and 2972 days ago)The same can be said of the white object on the right. It doesn't need to be in the picture.
You should try to color correct the soldier's skin tones - they are too warm and yellow for the rest of the image.
(5 years and 2972 days ago)Additionally, the lower part of the uniform is noticeably lighter than the rest of him. Making a selection of his uniform, and going to Image>Adjustments>Selective Color>Whites, and increasing the Black slider should help that.
Gordon Ramsay would complain about the spilled red-eye gravy, but other than that, this is utterly yummy looking - even though I can hear my arteries hardening just by looking at it...
(5 years and 2972 days ago)The flash reflection at the bottom center is the only thing hurting this otherwise well done photograph.
Better without the text, but still too yellow, especially when compared with the other entries in this contest - It just looks unnatural and poorly lit.
(5 years and 2972 days ago)Nice photo, but the hands are blurry, while the jar is in sharp focus...
(5 years and 2972 days ago)This is somewhat overexposed. The skin tones are almost blown out, giving the skin texture a somewhat "graphics" look. The palm is almost the same value as the whites of the background behind it.
(5 years and 2972 days ago)Edit: Much better!
I agree, it's a trade off, but looks better with the white balance of all the plates.
(5 years and 2972 days ago)The lighting of the upper left hand corner and along the top is problematic because of the high light reflection on the woven area on the left, with the crop on the right at the very edge of the plate. The fork is not visible beyond the tines, so you should crop the left side over to the plate more, and reducing the woven area by about half, and bring the top down to the edge of the bananas ( ? ) to get rid of the empty space and bring the focus more onto your subject.
(5 years and 2972 days ago)"Never get you tire" is odd English. "Tired," is the correct grammar. "Never get you tire," means these shoes will never help you acquire a car tire. "Never get you tired," means you will remain energetic wearing them...
(5 years and 2972 days ago)Very dramatic image. Well done.
(5 years and 2972 days ago)Great photo. Nice balance of negative space to the subject.
(5 years and 2972 days ago)"No, you're a towel..." (South Park reference...)
(5 years and 2972 days ago)Very nice job. Good, even, coloring.
Wonderful star effect of the lights, and good clarity of the water - not blurred into a "smudge." Nice job.
(5 years and 2972 days ago)VERY yummy looking, the light reflection off the garnish on the very top is especially mouth watering. I agree, recipe, please!
(5 years and 2972 days ago)Very nice texture, with the exception of the side view interior of the slice on the server, as Akassa has pointed out. But wonderful color and placement on the plate.
(5 years and 2972 days ago)Beautiful capture, The reflection of the colored lights on the water is wonderful, and I particularly like the fact that the signage of the stadium is readable, not just a blur. Very nice!
(5 years and 2972 days ago)I agree with both of the above comments, "aseptic," - [metaphorical] lacking emotion, human warmth, or excitement, in particular.
(5 years and 2972 days ago)This is a VERY nice photograph of a wide variety of food, showing good lighting, composition, and color. But it does not inspire any mouth watering reaction.
Sometimes, less is more. I think this would have been stronger with less dishes, and a more intimate shot of one or two, to visually inspire the taste buds, as well as the eye.
Nice arrangement of the photos.
(5 years and 2972 days ago)I love how he's looking at the camera! Good shot.
(5 years and 2972 days ago)The text is quite hard to read, but the overall effect is nice.
(5 years and 2972 days ago)Really nice focus on the fur, the detail is good.
(5 years and 2972 days ago)"...25 pictures of an item of your own choice and combine it into one 5x5 image."
(5 years and 2972 days ago)An "item" would make me think it needs to be one type of thing...The contest example would seem to support that. But I'm not a mod.
Really nice, sharp photos. Great checkered base beneath them all. Lends a nice cohesiveness to the collection. Good job!
(5 years and 2972 days ago)The haze in the lower right hand corner distracts from the beauty of the food and the setting. Was that the camera, or post-processing?
(5 years and 2972 days ago)Nice symmetry and lighting, good color. Looks delicious!
(5 years and 2972 days ago)The overall tone is a bit too yellow and dim, but a nice presentation on the plate.
(5 years and 2972 days ago)Very nice montage!
(5 years and 2972 days ago)It looks like he's missing the very end of his nose - I agree, I think the crop is just a bit too tight.
(5 years and 2973 days ago)This is probably the Red Queen's Alice Fantasy...
(5 years and 2973 days ago)Goodness knows she cried, "Off with her head!" enough times - looks like she got her wish...
Great mood, well done!
Instead of forgetting the 'W,' if you had omitted the 'L,' it would be a Holiday greeting card...
(5 years and 2973 days ago)No 'L'....get it?
I crack myself up...lol!
Wonderfully meditative shot. Cute kitty!
(5 years and 2973 days ago)That looks delicious! Beautiful color and lighting, excellent visual presentation. Well done!
(5 years and 2973 days ago)What a beautiful face, and such an alert expression! Beautiful photo.
(5 years and 2973 days ago)I think this is a lovely picture, showing beautiful interpretation of the source, without being a hyper-realistic copy. I particularly enjoy the boats along the bottom. Very well done!
(5 years and 2973 days ago)LOL! Good point...
(5 years and 2973 days ago)Very nice image, but the excessive noise added to the balloons hurts the fantasy and jarringly makes them separate from the rest of the landscape. If you added an an Anistropic Diffusion filter to just the balloons, it would help bring them back to being part of their surroundings.
(5 years and 2973 days ago)This would be stronger if you cropped some of the bottom off, so that the hair is more dominant in the image. Love the facial expression!
(5 years and 2973 days ago)The skin tones are too yellow and jaundiced, possibly due to tungsten (incandescent) lighting. A cooling filter or color adjustment would make them more natural looking.
(5 years and 2973 days ago)The color tones are a bit too cool, giving the image almost a purple tone. A warming filter or color adjustment to warm it up just a bit would help immensely.
(5 years and 2973 days ago)The color tones on the left turn really pink, while the right hand side looks too yellow. A Selective Color adjustment of the Magentas, increasing the yellow, while decreasing the magenta, would bring back the white balance of the shirt, tone down the bride's pink arms, and balance out the yellow glow of the flooring.
(5 years and 2973 days ago)Wonderful sky, really sets off the image dramatically.
(5 years and 2973 days ago)The light on the far left edge is a bit distracting from a beautiful panorama, pulling the eye over there for no good reason. I'd crop it off, along with the black section of water, to strengthen the rest of the image.
(5 years and 2973 days ago)A bit too close to the wall, somewhat ruining the illusion, but still a good photo.
(5 years and 2973 days ago)Love the hand positioning, as if he's giving a lecture on how to achieve good levitation. Nice job!
(5 years and 2973 days ago)Great height, nice focus!
(5 years and 2973 days ago)The cheese could have used a bit more variation. Since it's a solid color, with no texture, it doesn't look like melted cheese, so much as a cream surface.
(5 years and 2973 days ago)You are allowed to look at photos for reference and inspiration, you know. You just need to list the source for them...
The shadows are too heavy, breaking up the ground, and making the "levitation" very hard to make out.
(5 years and 2973 days ago)Great clarity. The white light near the center bottom is a bit too overexposed, and over dominant for the image, though. It would be a stronger photo if you cropped it off.
