I like the angle of the shot, but the lamp and wreath at the top, combined with the people, is too distracting from the subject, especially since the women are both wearing red...The light looks like it's fixing to drop on top of them both...I'd crop that area off (for this contest), so that the dance is the visual focal point.
(5 years and 2973 days ago)Too much of the girl is showing, she "fights" with the dog for the visual focus by taking up so much of the image. Nice lighting, though. The clouds provide a great backdrop.
(5 years and 2973 days ago)This doesn't work well in black and white, because the hair is too dark, and blends in with the background, while the face and lighter pattern of the floor take dominance. The excess space at the bottom of the dress push the subject (the hair) even more to the background by minimizing the space it occupies of the picture plane. I'd crop the bottom 1/3 of the photo off, so that the hair and face occupy the top half of the photo. This would then give the hair more prominence.
(5 years and 2973 days ago)Great photo, but the windshield adds nothing to the composition, and detracts from the beautiful sky and almost abstract colors and shapes of the car. I'd crop most of it off, and let the right side of the photo shine on its own.
(5 years and 2973 days ago)The text at the bottom is distracting from the emblem.
(5 years and 2973 days ago)The right shoulder juts out at an odd angle, but the overall anatomy is not bad at all.
(5 years and 2973 days ago)The "lumps" at the very bottom are somewhat distracting. A bit tighter crop would enhance the leading lines and improve the composition.
(5 years and 2973 days ago)Great capture, every little drop of spray is crystal clear. What camera are you using?
(5 years and 2973 days ago)Nice work!
(5 years and 2973 days ago)The border does not add to the photograph, it looks too artificial and gimmicky, and is distracting.
(5 years and 2973 days ago)A bit too dark, the ducks seem to blend into each other on the left hand side.
(5 years and 2973 days ago)The fake framing with the overdone "tape" is distracting from a nice photo.
(5 years and 2973 days ago)When I first saw this image come up, I thought it was a photo. VERY WELL DONE! The only giveaway was that the pepperoni looks to be "floating" slightly above the pizza, and is too pink and "raw" looking, with too even an overall color - Once cooked, they are a bit browner around the edges, and the melted cheese slightly overlaps the edges in places...
(5 years and 2973 days ago)Still, this is an exceptional render. High mark from me.
The cracked texture is too flat on the face, and does not follow the contours of the chin and jaw area, nor the nose.
(5 years and 2974 days ago)My cats are idiot lazy lumps. They watch the laser light, but make absolutely no effort to chase it, or even reach for it if it's close to them...That yours "fly" to it is wonderous to behold. Great capture!
(5 years and 2974 days ago)Hard to tell what it is we're looking at. Too little focus on anything but the beans, bacon, and hash brown triangle, which are all too similar in color, and visually overlapping, making them one lump of brownish red color. This doesn't looks mouth watering, so much as confusing.
(5 years and 2974 days ago)Too underexposed. The Blue Terrier looks like a black blob...
(5 years and 2974 days ago)Beautiful presentation, wonderful capture, with nice clarity and colors.
(5 years and 2974 days ago)Beautiful colors, but the image tilts down to the right. If you level it up, it will be much stronger.
(5 years and 2974 days ago)Love the expression on his face!
(5 years and 2974 days ago)Well if that's you best excuse, why not make it a giant cow or a shark?
(5 years and 2975 days ago)Unrealistic and "fun" pics are okay, but they don't necessarily display good skills if they are visually "jarring" in their unbelievability, which happens when the scale is off, while the rest of the chop is good...
The plate it is on looks too far above the table, making it look like a bowl. This makes the pizza look like a bowl of chocolate with berries in it.
(5 years and 2975 days ago)You need to make the pizza look closer down to the table surface. I would eliminate the bowl/plate entirely, and just put the pizza onto the table.
Just a wee bit too much space on the left, while you cut off the right edge of the cup handle...
(5 years and 2975 days ago)You can't really tell you used the contest source, since a simple black and white square made with the rectangular marquee would accomplish the same thing...
(5 years and 2975 days ago)Now, if you made the chess pieces better resemble the male and female figures, THAT would be creative, but this really is too CBR to be of much relationship to the contest source...
Looks more like a twisted ladder than a DNA strand. Perhaps if it showed more molecules than just bar shapes...
(5 years and 2975 days ago)I don't think eagles come that large...
(5 years and 2975 days ago)Very cute and creative, but the mottled shadows on the ground are a bit distracting, pulling the eye between the character and the castle, where nothing visually is happening.
(5 years and 2975 days ago)A bit too dark around her feet and along the left hand edge, but a wonderful contrast of shapes.
(5 years and 2975 days ago)Your image is crooked, tilting down to the left. If you level it out, it will be a stronger presentation. I would also crop out the lid on the right. It is of a higher white value, and so it is distracting from your focal point of the jars by over dominating the image.
(5 years and 2975 days ago)Beautiful colors, but the shadow on the left hand side is somewhat distracting. I'd crop more of that off.
(5 years and 2975 days ago)Awesome detailing of the fabric weave. What camera are you using?
(5 years and 2975 days ago)WONDERFUL and imaginative. Most creative entry so far. Well Done! SPARTA is GREAT!!!
(5 years and 2975 days ago)That looks magical! Wonderful detail, but I bet it's hard to hold without burning your finger.
(5 years and 2975 days ago)Very rich colors, this looks like it could be one of those 18th century portraits of a royal dog sitting on it's own throne. Very nice shot!
(5 years and 2975 days ago)Excellent composition, wonderful balance of all the compositional elements - point, line, shape, space, color, value, and texture. Very well done!
(5 years and 2976 days ago)MMMMMmmm, dinner! Start melting the butter!
(5 years and 2976 days ago)Looks like an easy putt, even Tiger Woods could sink that one...
(5 years and 2976 days ago)Was that bug alive, or did you arrange that image? I think it's called a Goliath Beetle, isn't it? If so, I can certainly see how it got the name!
(5 years and 2976 days ago)Beautiful colors and focus. Why were they all there?
(5 years and 2976 days ago)The cheese under the pepperoni looks like it is starting to slide off the bottom of the crust on the left hand side as a thin solid slice of something peeling away...The crust looks beautifully toasted, and the pepperoni has a beautiful color variation. It's just that weird lifting cheese on the left hurting an otherwise yummy looking pizza!
(5 years and 2976 days ago)A bit washed out - the yellows are almost the same color as the browns, and the composition is fairly boring, with the straight road leading basically up the center of the picture plane to almost the target center where it bends out of sight...This could have been so much stronger an image if you had gotten closer down to the ground, and stood over to one side or the other, capturing more of the trees, rather than the boring road. Increasing the saturation to bring out the golds a bit more would help, also.
(5 years and 2976 days ago)Truly beautiful photo. Great lighting, color, mood, focus, composition. It's so pretty, it almost doesn't seem real. Lucky you to find such a spot to photograph. My fav!
(5 years and 2976 days ago)This tilts down strongly to the right. You should straighten it using the light post in the foreground as a vertical.
(5 years and 2977 days ago)Cute kitty!
(5 years and 2977 days ago)The "woody" reformulated! Great job.
(5 years and 2977 days ago)These guys are precious! I so envy you having something like this to photograph!
(5 years and 2977 days ago)Nice lighting, but too yellow an overall tint - it looks somewhat jaundiced - a common problem with incandescent lighting. A cooling filter or color adjustment would help this.
(5 years and 2977 days ago)Really nice values and colors.
(5 years and 2977 days ago)It looks like they only have 3 legs between them...lol!
(5 years and 2977 days ago)The woman just looks like she has huge shoulders and no head...
