The girl looks very out of place, she is casting no shadow, and the edges are very hard, making her look more pasted on than the pictures she is hanging. The Blur Tool, with a small brush and low opacity, around the edges will help the hard edge. The weird pose and shadow problem are a different matter.
(5 years and 2993 days ago)Very unusual looking!
(5 years and 2993 days ago)Good visual composition.
(5 years and 2993 days ago)I had to look this up, since Penrose is an important name in the Colorado Springs Region, and I wondered if it was the same or related...Found out that Loe pool, once part of the Penrose estate, is the largest natural freshwater lake in Cornwall...Interesting trivia for the day...
(5 years and 2993 days ago)Nice composition, with the shadow echos of the fence by the path leading the eye into the picture, and the trees then bringing the eye back down. A bit too centered, though - the path and the horizon are both "target centered," rather than slightly offset. This would be stronger if you crop off some of the left side and the top to bring the horizon up a bit and move the curve of the path a bit more to the left.
The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence...Great photo, good color and composition, leading the eye into the picture plane, and back down and over to the horse. Well done!
(5 years and 2994 days ago)A bit too much of a color cast, it has a hard green tint overlying the wonderful natural color of the squash, but the photo itself, sans the plasticy, artificial color is wonderful!
(5 years and 2994 days ago)What a fantastic photo! Very creative - great imagination, excellent execution!
(5 years and 2994 days ago)What an exquisite looking cake and what an excellent photo - no flash glare, crisp focus, clear colors. Extremely well done!
(5 years and 2995 days ago)Beautiful contrasts, the highlights really make this pop!
(5 years and 2995 days ago)The backwards 't' in talent, along with the offset arch on the right are the only flaws in this. Nice work.
(5 years and 2995 days ago)The upside down balloons looks very weird.
(5 years and 2995 days ago)Great photo, terrific lighting, EXCELLENT back story - it made the photo more interesting for me! High marks for a job well done.
(5 years and 2995 days ago)The face looks very flat and "cut and paste," and the folded shirt beneath even more so. You've done a nice job of attempting some 3d depth with the cables extending from the face to the circuit board, but there is no lighting on them to help convey depth and space, they too, look very flat.
(5 years and 2995 days ago)Your edges are a bit too sharp, you might try going over them with a small brush and slight blur to help them cohere together as a single image, and you may want to use the pen tool to extract the face, so that the edges are not quite so rough and angular.
Interesting shot, but not enough of the subject (birthday cake). The focal point is the candles and the "Happy Birthday" decoration, with a few candy dots. It almost looks like they are sitting on a towel. Pretty, but slightly misses the mark, here.
(5 years and 2995 days ago)This is an amazing panorama. One of the best I have ever seen. Super well done!
(5 years and 2995 days ago)Great lighting and shadows. Nice perspective, good composition. Well done!
(5 years and 2995 days ago)Excellent photo of a device that "catches the wind!" Spot on in all ways!
(5 years and 2995 days ago)Beautiful composition, great color. Good that you were able to recover this!
(5 years and 2995 days ago)The line of the corner is hurting the composition. It is too bright, and is dividing the visual plane, segregating the figure. The line of books lead the eye out of the image, through the window, with nothing to bring it back in except the heavy and oppressive black walls. While effective, the overall feel is quite confined, rather than liberating...
(5 years and 2995 days ago)Like Eladine, I gave this high marks, but honestly I much prefer the original, with it's expansive, light, and open feeling.
This is haunting and beautiful. Truly amazing.
(5 years and 2995 days ago)Very good composition and design. Nice movement, great balance, nice shapes, good range of values, wonderful focus showing visual texture. Very well done!
(5 years and 2995 days ago)Boy, a LOT of work went into this one. Beautiful cake, love the chocolate pretzel "water" at the bottom. Nice photo.
(5 years and 2995 days ago)This looks like SUCH a fun cake, I would have loved getting one of these for my birthday! Great lighting, no "incandescent yellow" cast, and the flames are crisp and bright. Well done.
(5 years and 2995 days ago)Nice, but too crooked, leaning down to the left. If you level it out, it will be a much stronger image.
(5 years and 2996 days ago)Love the furry leg stipes - most unusual looking. Great capture!
(5 years and 2996 days ago)Interesting, but the eye light is a bit too bright, dominating the image.
(5 years and 2996 days ago)Nice, but the angle is too extreme. It almost looks like a bad photograph where the camera is being dropped as the shot is taken...Angles can provide visual interest, but like many things in Life, moderation is the key...
(5 years and 2996 days ago)The bathtub is over dominated by the mountain, which looks more to be your focal point.
Great shot, really captures the wind, and the general feeling of "flying..." Love it!
(5 years and 2996 days ago)The green face is confusing, and the proportions look wonky with the overly large paint handprints.
(5 years and 2996 days ago)Great photo, I can almost hear the flag snapping in the wind!
(5 years and 2996 days ago)Too blurry looking. I also don't understand what makes it a "Japanese painting," as Japanese paintings were generally pictorial narratives done in a highly refined style, with crisp colors and clean, sharp, stylized linework, not blurry people with a "glow" around them...
(5 years and 2996 days ago)"Various techniques thrown together" tells us nothing about how you created this image, and makes it seem more of a random "digital doodle," than any type of skilled chop.
The cool tones of the tub clash horribly with the orangey-red counter and the yellow-green rug, but the rendering is wonderful. I'd just suggest shooting the interior designer who came up with that color scheme...lolol!
(5 years and 2997 days ago)Excellent photographic interpretation. Beautiful focus, great concept. Well done!
(5 years and 2997 days ago)I know it's not a numeric keypad, but beyond that, I'm stumped...
(5 years and 2997 days ago)The photo leans down a bit to the right,
(5 years and 2997 days ago)which looks somewhat odd, even at night...
Beautiful re-work, excellent image!
(5 years and 2997 days ago)The heavy shading on the sides, with the center lighter makes the "Welcome" hard to read, and is somewhat contrary to the fact that generally, mats are dirtier in the center from foot traffic. Your light source is not clearly defined, as it looks like it is coming from the lower left, when logic would dictate it should be from the upper right, as a porch light.
(5 years and 2998 days ago)The "dirt" is too light, and looks like dandruff.
The textures are beautiful, and the rendering itself is quite good. It is just a few visual inconsistencies that are impeding you.
Poor baby has no hands!
(5 years and 2998 days ago)It also looks weird to have only one flower with a handless baby, while the other three are just flowers...
The tub looks too small in proportion to the fixtures.
(5 years and 2998 days ago)Also, the strong light on the floor in the left hand corner is too dominant for the composition and is distracting.
Disturbing and well executed!
(5 years and 2998 days ago)Wonderful texturing, from the subtle, yet readable "Welcome" and the mat ridges, to the very fine wall texture. Really well done!
(5 years and 2998 days ago)Good imagination, nice effect.
(5 years and 2998 days ago)I'm on those, too...forgot to take mine this morning, thanks for the reminder! Nice coloring, helps direct the focus.
(5 years and 2998 days ago)I love the friendly smile on his face...I'd trust him...NOT! LOLOL!
(5 years and 2998 days ago)Great chop, author!
Beautiful work. Elegant lighting, great texture on the floor. Looks very realistic!
(5 years and 2999 days ago)Excellent work, but do the trees in front count as "background?"
(5 years and 2999 days ago)Hilarious capture, yes, it DOES really look like Audrey II! Wonderful photo!
(5 years and 2999 days ago)The lettering is a bit hard to read. What does is say in front of "members?" Is this supposed to be made out of cat hair? The fibers on it are a bit too fine to be rubber. also, having the floor white, with only a bit of colors peeking out from under the mat is visually confusing, since the rest of the floor shows no color.
(5 years and 2999 days ago)Really nice job on the hole cut into the ceramic tile. The chips are a nice touch.
The HDR "halo"' around these as they are mounted on the rack makes them seem almost like a holy relic...
(5 years and 2999 days ago)This is an awesome piece. I really like the secondary pattern created with the background. Very nice work!
