Thank you for the explanation. The photo did not clearly convey the use of the stump.
(5 years and 3005 days ago)Beautiful chiaroscuro effect. well done!
(5 years and 3005 days ago)Interesting idea, but the lighting on Joe is inconsistent with the welder, especially where the art welder is next to her face.
(5 years and 3005 days ago)How sad if they cannot be saved and are demolished. This is a beautiful photo, it really shows the exquisite stone work at its best. Nice work.
(5 years and 3006 days ago)What's the great use???
(5 years and 3006 days ago)Beautiful capture. It is in such good detail, it almost doesn't look real, more like an exceptional 3d render. Really well done!
(5 years and 3006 days ago)Really nice lighting, and the textures are amazing. Great work!
(5 years and 3006 days ago)Hahaha! LOVE this shot, the angle of the "abundance of milk" is VERY creative for this contest! Great job!
(5 years and 3006 days ago)Too much empty black space at the bottom.
(5 years and 3006 days ago)A bit too CBR (chopped beyond recognition) for me...You could have done this with any photo and gotten the same result. There's no longer any visual reference to the contest source, it's become just a "digital doodle."
(5 years and 3006 days ago)Soon to be inside YOU...lol! Nice focus and lighting, beautiful colors!
(5 years and 3006 days ago)The transparent brush looks odd, and the dark reflection left of the red attachment is just visually confusing. A really well done construction, but the odd confusions lessen the effect.
(5 years and 3006 days ago)This is awesome looking, except for the fact it is crooked, and the water looks like it should be running out down to the left. If you can straighten it out, it will be a much stronger image.
(5 years and 3006 days ago)A bit too far away with too much excess space for such a small subject. Interesting, though.
(5 years and 3006 days ago)Great perspective angle, cute light. Nice drawing!
(5 years and 3007 days ago)Nice subject, but it feels almost like an afterthought with so much empty space on the right. This shot would benefit from a bit of "rule of thirds" cropping...
(5 years and 3007 days ago)Too much dead space at the bottom with a bright spot illuminating "nothing" on the left, and you've cut off the top and the side of your focal point...
(5 years and 3007 days ago)Beauty from chaos. The subtle colors really make this a fantastic shot. I'd crop more of the right side off, to put more emphasis on the tangled cluster, but this is still a fascinating photo. Nice work!
(5 years and 3007 days ago)Very interesting composition, nice lighting and depth.
(5 years and 3007 days ago)Really nice capture of the theme, the roots look so delicate and lacy.
(5 years and 3007 days ago)I'm glad you clarified the situation of the photo, I thought he/she was telling you off or defending its territory or babies or something...You still managed to make it look cute with this photo, I have to try hard to see it as "ugly." Well done!
(5 years and 3007 days ago)Really nice manipulation. The boat needs to be a bit more "in" the water (it looks like it is slightly above it along the bottom edge), but overall this is very creative and well done!
(5 years and 3007 days ago)I would have LOVED having one of these to play in as a kid! Great job.
(5 years and 3007 days ago)Too dark, you can barely make out the contest source at all. A full moon that close would provide a LOT more light, and would give a strong back light "halo" around the building at the very least.
(5 years and 3007 days ago)It's interesting, but the shadow in the foreground and the yellow take dominance over the building, which is supposed to be your main focal point...
(5 years and 3007 days ago)Spider"man" looks a bit washed out in pink...
(5 years and 3007 days ago)And turnips, which are roots, too! Nice photo, great colors!
(5 years and 3007 days ago)That's the point, it's hard to see or appreciate the "spooky" in black and white, it just kind of looks like a big gray mass.
(5 years and 3007 days ago)Wonderful perspective and distance, really nice composition, this is beautiful!
(5 years and 3007 days ago)Perhaps just adding back the eyes and lips in focus would help, but overall, this image is far too blurry. It may cover your mistakes, but lessens the impact of your efforts more.
(5 years and 3007 days ago)Wonderful focus, the ripples in the water are beautifully crisp, and the background clarity helps the overall composition.
(5 years and 3007 days ago)What a great way to show off all the shells! The white reflection line in the center at the bottom is a bit distracting. Is it a seam in the glass?
(5 years and 3007 days ago)I think this might have been better in color, to help show the depth. In black and white, the roots look somewhat "flat" and nondescript.
(5 years and 3007 days ago)For me, black and white is most effective when there are strong visual contrasts. Grays just all tend to blend together.
This would be stronger if you had some apples on the tree...
(5 years and 3007 days ago)I've reserved my front row seat - Hope she sings "You're nobody 'til somebody loves you..."
(5 years and 3008 days ago)Great manipulation!
The handle doesn't look very functional, too short and looks hard to hold. The bristles also look a bit too fine for a hair styling brush...The reflection on the table looks cool, and the overall lighting is quite realistic, it's just the brush that leaves a bit to be visually desired.
(5 years and 3008 days ago)Beautiful markings, love the "unicorn" horn to accessorize!
(5 years and 3008 days ago)Very nice focus, good photo.
Yum!
(5 years and 3008 days ago)Great job, wonderful variation of dot sizes!
(5 years and 3008 days ago)You can also use Skew, Warp, and Liquify to vary the blossoms a bit.
(5 years and 3008 days ago)The ones in the distance are all too uniform in size, and just look like dots.
Funny, I saw it as a guy! Great angle, nice photo.
(5 years and 3008 days ago)Excellent capture of the light on the compound eye!
(5 years and 3008 days ago)Great lighting. Gives this a very quiet and peaceful feeling.
(5 years and 3008 days ago)Beautiful shot. You've done a really nice job of making the building level - no easy feat considering the angles and perspective along with camera lens distortion!
(5 years and 3008 days ago)Beautiful picture, you've managed to give both the bug and the flower an extremely delicate, ethereal feeling. Excellent light and color. Very well done!
(5 years and 3008 days ago)You should flip one of the hands for variety. Creative image, nice work.
(5 years and 3009 days ago)Party on, Joe!
(5 years and 3009 days ago)Great capture, beautiful color!
(5 years and 3009 days ago)Great play of the sunlight on the pattern of the roots. Very nice!
(5 years and 3009 days ago)Fantastic focus, depth, and color. Well cropped, and truly beautiful.
