The head seems a bit too large for the body.
(5 years and 3009 days ago)I'd crop the bottom up to the web tangent to correspond with the other two web lines. The empty space steals some of the effect.
(5 years and 3009 days ago)You've made the spider look beautiful with this shot!
What is the white stuff splashed on top?
(5 years and 3009 days ago)A very visually thought provoking photo. Nice work.
The grimy tabletop is a distraction for me.
(5 years and 3009 days ago)Black and white seem to visually homogenize this out a bit too much.
(5 years and 3009 days ago)Too bad it's blurry and you've cut off the top and side. It's a beautiful and intriguing object.
(5 years and 3009 days ago)I like this much better than carving into the tree.
(5 years and 3009 days ago)You've made a beautiful and artistic piece out of a somewhat shocking and controversial personal photo. Excellent job.
(5 years and 3009 days ago)Since it's so dark, author, it looks like "just a head" now, with too much empty space below it...
(5 years and 3010 days ago)Excellent job on the bristles! The cast shadow is a bit too black and opaque, you can't see enough ambient light of the dark side of the brush (although you can slightly see the white grout), but overall, this is really well done.
(5 years and 3010 days ago)The bottom is so black, it would be better cropped off.
(5 years and 3010 days ago)Peek a boo! Great photo!
(5 years and 3010 days ago)Beautiful focus, from the foreground all the way to the furthest light, it is very crisp and beautiful. Well done!
(5 years and 3010 days ago)Simply WOW. I can clearly make out every little grain of pollen. Simply wonderful!
(5 years and 3010 days ago)What kind of work do (did) you do? Looks like juggling shards of broken glass from those scars!
(5 years and 3010 days ago)Such a nice set of warm looking, fuzzy wings! WONDERFUL focus on this photo, I love it!
(5 years and 3010 days ago)Wonderful macro, the detail of the metal is astounding. Well done!
(5 years and 3011 days ago)Not if it's a butter knife. Too hard to tell the tip to be sure, and the blade does not show the distinctive light diffusion that delineates an angled edge...
(5 years and 3011 days ago)Beautiful lighting on the brush bristles, very realistic looking.
(5 years and 3011 days ago)The hay bales are too blurry in comparison to the animals on top of them.
(5 years and 3011 days ago)I don't see an edge to the blade...
(5 years and 3012 days ago)The hand is very large in proportion to the face, and the mouth is a bit too close to the nose, but the colors are very nice.
(5 years and 3012 days ago)Well done. The edge is in great focus, and looks sharp (in more ways than one!)
(5 years and 3012 days ago)Beautiful clarity and lighting.
(5 years and 3012 days ago)There is a little bit of a "halo" around the pull tab, but the aluminum texture is fantastic!
(5 years and 3012 days ago)Eladine, the World Land "speed record" has been set and broken on the salt flats... It's a visual rebus...
(5 years and 3012 days ago)I think the setting is well done, author, very creative!
This is beautiful!
(5 years and 3012 days ago)Great idea, but the shadows do not correspond well with all the objects. Too big, too small, and nonexistent for the violinist, who is being lit from the shaded side...If you can make the lighting more consistent and proportioned, this will be a much stronger image!
(5 years and 3012 days ago)The Church of the Holy Whatchamacallit... Very interesting find, good clarity!
(5 years and 3012 days ago)This doesn't look like it is growing. It looks like a log set on end. There is no apparent hole in the flooring that this is growing out of.
(5 years and 3012 days ago)A pier is not a boat dock, period. Just because it is over water does not make it a pier. The keywords are "Bridge, building supports, and walkway." Stairs or a ramp leading to something floating on the water is not a pier. Close, but no kewpie doll, regardless the location.
(5 years and 3012 days ago)The black upper lip doesn't blend well with the rest of the image - it looks blurry around the top edge. Otherwise, a very nice car-icature!
(5 years and 3012 days ago)Awesome find, fantastic clarity, color, and composition.
(5 years and 3012 days ago)So sharp it can cut through water!
(5 years and 3012 days ago)GREAT photo, excellent entry.
A Hue and Saturation adjustment, desaturating the Blues, while slightly increasing the saturation of the cyans would help the elephant look more "normal," without washing out the sky.
(5 years and 3012 days ago)Agreed about the cup, but the brushes are funky cute!
(5 years and 3012 days ago)Buzz seems awfully dark in comparison to the car and the background...He also shows an obvious cutout line on the left hand side, where he is lighter along the edge than the rest of his too-dark body.
(5 years and 3013 days ago)The car is also lit from an entirely different direction than the background (Side on the background, Upper Right on the car...)
Where else would you expect to see a battered truck except at a lounge? Gotta have some way to get to the bar!
(5 years and 3013 days ago)The contrast is too high. The whites almost hurt the eye, and the top of the bottle is blurred out because of the high contrast.
(5 years and 3013 days ago)The shadow is in sharper focus than the blade edge which is supposed to be the focus...
(5 years and 3013 days ago)Great chop, looks truly realistic. Well done!
(5 years and 3014 days ago)Great clarity, the edge and the background are really nice!
(5 years and 3014 days ago)Great chop, very original concept for the contest source!
(5 years and 3014 days ago)Wonderfully creative and original! Very well done and visually attractive.
(5 years and 3014 days ago)Quite the crowd she's gathered! Great color, focus and lighting. Nice job!
(5 years and 3014 days ago)You can still clearly make out the indentations of the eye sockets in the skull. You need to fill those in more (Try the Liquify Bloat Tool), and create a single eye socket in the skull to surround the new eye.
(5 years and 3014 days ago)I see more of the diamond shapes, rather than a letter. Cropping the excess would help, as it looks more like a 'V' shape with a top, than 'X' shapes joined together...
(5 years and 3014 days ago)The forehead and the sides by the eye all show anatomical structures that do not support a single eye. The wrinkles and the stripes show a definite "two eye" structure.
(5 years and 3014 days ago)A somewhat odd concept, but the biggest problems are the perspecive and the blurriness. The blurry bears on the top half, and the blurry hay roll in the water do not blend well with the rest of the image. The falling bear on the hay roll does not show a motion blur, it just looks blurry. The drop off to the water also looks very strange, since it is a different perspective than the field and the water at the bottom, and has a different light source.
(5 years and 3014 days ago)Great composition! You found the perfect vantage point for this photo!
