This was better before. Now you've "Burnt" the left hand side, which makes the decoration on the lower part of the eye look odd and out of place. A bit too extreme of a value adjustment. "Less is more."
(5 years and 3015 days ago)The white of the eye is too bright for the rest of the image. It is whiter than the stripes which are being directly lit by the sun. Nice blending, though.
(5 years and 3015 days ago)The whites of the eye are too black, and the right hand side of the iris is black, splotchy, and misshapen from over adjusting the values.
(5 years and 3015 days ago)Beautiful ring, but the red thing behind it is distracting, and the excessive blur of the foreground with the white shape, combined with the box lid with the text distract from the focal point, which is supposed to be the hole...
(5 years and 3015 days ago)Excellent and different approach to a common item. I like this very much, well done!
(5 years and 3016 days ago)Seems a bit blurry around the edges.
(5 years and 3016 days ago)Love the focus and texture of this photo. Very well done!
(5 years and 3016 days ago)Wow! The edge around the hole is so thin, I would never have thought ceramic. Great find for the contest.
(5 years and 3016 days ago)Great find!
(5 years and 3016 days ago)The shape of the skull still shows noticeable indentations where the eye sockets have been covered over.
(5 years and 3016 days ago)"A pier is a raised structure, including bridge and building supports and walkways, over water, typically supported by widely spread piles or pillars." I don't think a dock is the same thing, is it? (Here in the mountains, you don't see many piers, so I'm not sure...)
(5 years and 3016 days ago)It leans down to the right, and the angle on the right hand side is cropped too close, making the dark shape at the top too dominant. Agree with artifacts about the black shape at the bottom, which is also distracting.
(5 years and 3016 days ago)Interesting the the tilt down to the left distracts too much from the mood. I'd straighten it along the top horizonal.
(5 years and 3016 days ago)Beautiful balance of values and shapes. Very nice composition.
(5 years and 3016 days ago)The flesh of the eyeball itself looks black...Interesting concept, but the execution looks rushed, without attention to detail with the color just slapped on.
(5 years and 3016 days ago)I love the texture on it. Is it wood, or metal painted to look like wood? (I'm saying metal).
(5 years and 3016 days ago)Really nice lighting and detail.
Great perspective for this photo, it really enhances the image by bringing it down to "ground level." Nice paint job!
(5 years and 3017 days ago)It's really blurry looking.
(5 years and 3017 days ago)This would be stronger, visually, if it did not have such a tilt to the left. Perhaps you can skew the "cube" to straighten it out, particularly on the right hand side.
(5 years and 3017 days ago)Great idea, but your subject (the brush) is lost with all the surroundings and is too small. The glass looks more to be your focal point. Perhaps zoom in more and crop all the surrounding excess...
(5 years and 3017 days ago)The color makes this look washed out.
(5 years and 3017 days ago)Awesome effect, the internal lighting really makes this most interesting!
(5 years and 3018 days ago)Beautiful detailing - Now it will "live on" forever!
(5 years and 3018 days ago)This is truly lovely! Wonderful perspective, excellent execution. Great job!
(5 years and 3018 days ago)Great halftone effect!
(5 years and 3018 days ago)Nice lighting. Too bad that tree on the left obscures so much of the building and dominates that half of the photo. Perhaps a tighter crop, removing about half of it will help. since you can't really see the building behind it anyway.
(5 years and 3019 days ago)Excellent job with the back lighting!
(5 years and 3019 days ago)Maybe an SBS or explanation in your description?
(5 years and 3019 days ago)Since there is no SBS, could you explain a bit how you made this image?
(5 years and 3019 days ago)Interesting image. Since there is no SBS, how did you create it?
(5 years and 3019 days ago)Great job.
(5 years and 3019 days ago)Reminds me of this "fashion statement"
http://sclick.net/cool-gadgets/new-fun-cool-clothing-wear-gadgets/12/new%20cool%20fun%20clothing%20wear%20gadgets%20gum-shoe-heels.jpg
Great composition. The vertical uprights of the trees help emphasize the decline of the building. Nice work.
(5 years and 3019 days ago)Exquisite detail and technique. You truly show such talent with these contests! My fav.
(5 years and 3019 days ago)Very original! The text needs a bit of work - "Sale! Only $2.00 a pipe." (Translations into English can be somewhat small for clarity...)
(5 years and 3019 days ago)Very bright and festive! Good originality, you just need to adjust the white lines on the left side of the stripes, and extend the flower stripes to that lonely stripe on the tail.
(5 years and 3019 days ago)The nose and eye on the right need work. The nose is somewhat "dirty looking" and poorly defined, while the eye on the right seems too dark, with half the eyebrow missing.
(5 years and 3019 days ago)You may also want to raise the text, so that the pxleyes.com logo at the bottom does not obscure it.
The color desaturation, with a bit of yellow overtone, does not compliment this building well, It all looks somewhat washed out and bland. The color contrast of the foliage and those wonderful storm clouds in the background would have done a wonderful job of accentuating the building. As is, everything just kind of blends together, with too much unity, and no real dominance.
(5 years and 3019 days ago)Very beautiful detailing and values, nice composition. Well done!
(5 years and 3019 days ago)Very interesting color abstract. The leaves add a nice touch.
(5 years and 3019 days ago)I'm sure his name is cursed by many for those rabbits! Nice photo, the black and white work well to give it an appropriately creepy air. Well done!
(5 years and 3019 days ago)The color enhancement is a bit overdone (the 'M' is blotchy, with black on the top left), and the focus is a bit too soft (the highlights look blurry). But it's a nice overall composition and color scheme.
(5 years and 3020 days ago)Great job, this looks like something right out of a comic book!
(5 years and 3020 days ago)For some reason, it seems slightly out of focus. Perhaps it is the high color contrast, perhaps it is me...
(5 years and 3020 days ago)Is the water really that color, or is this color enhanced? It seems a bit too pink overall.
(5 years and 3020 days ago)Really nice composition. The clouds accent this shot wonderfully!
(5 years and 3020 days ago)Great concept, nice blend.
(5 years and 3020 days ago)You might want to consider darkening the front of the flower "hair" a bit more to match the shadow of the woman, which shows a stronger back lighting of the subject, not so much towards the front.
Nice work!
Beautiful lighting and composition, the curve of the table at the top gently moves the eye around, and the arrangement of all the elements makes this a very pleasant viewing. I'm jealous of the teapot, it's adorable!
(5 years and 3020 days ago)The bottom underneath the creature looks odd, because while you have a decent shadow beneath him, there is nothing but the background sunburst showing - what is that shadow being cast onto?
(5 years and 3020 days ago)You might consider making the area under him more "solid looking, perhaps by just darkening it, so that the sunburst still shows, but is not so bright. Especially since the top of the sunburst is darkened...
Beautiful building, beautiful photo. Very nice and crisp looking and level!
(5 years and 3020 days ago)Great lighting and focus of this shot!
