Great concept, but there are a couple technicals hurting the execution. The tilted mouse on the right is off-kilter to the rest of the image, looking like it should be falling over at that angle, and the mouse behind the glasses should be showing some distortion from the curvature of the glass - it would not be so perfectly aligned, because the glasses are curved front and back, not flat like a pane of glass.
(5 years and 3021 days ago)Your shadows of the added elements also need work to match the contest source.
The bike is too far forward in the picture plane (think Rule of Thirds), with too much dead space behind it.
(5 years and 3021 days ago)Excellent concept, I love the zipper effect! You need to add a bit more shading to the roses coming out of her back, they are sitting above the image, rather than being part of it. Perhaps desturating the color very slightly and adding some shadows where they are over the skin will help. Very nicely done!
(5 years and 3021 days ago)Wonderful colors and shading, you've definitely set a higher bar in this competition. Good job!
(5 years and 3021 days ago)What a fascinating story behind the photo!
(5 years and 3022 days ago)I find most fascinating, the footnote to the story.
"Coincidently since the building of the Tower of Refuge and up till the present day no ships have founded on the rocks..."
Congratulations on your well deserved win!
(5 years and 3022 days ago)~M
The solid black of the glass contents is a bit distracting, with the beautiful lights of the background, but still a nice entry!
(5 years and 3022 days ago)Great job, I love the way her hat turned out!
(5 years and 3022 days ago)You need to post your source link or an SBS so this great entry doesn't get yanked!
I like the way you put fish in the uprights. You could have a goldfish outside the one on it's side, too!
(5 years and 3022 days ago)Really nice colors for this effect.
(5 years and 3022 days ago)Great photo selection, this has a wonderful mood to it. Well done!
(5 years and 3022 days ago)Are those dates or figs in the bread? It looks delicious. Very nice photo!
(5 years and 3022 days ago)Much improved, great photo!
(5 years and 3023 days ago)Excellent capture of the detail of this very transient effort!
(5 years and 3023 days ago)Great correction, it looks very realistic for use "in the sunset of our lives..." Well done, author!
(5 years and 3023 days ago)Great improvement, wonderful results!
(5 years and 3023 days ago)Beautiful, the crust is wonderfully bubbly!
(5 years and 3023 days ago)This needs just a bit of a black outline to make it an outstanding cartoon. Good choice of subject.
(5 years and 3023 days ago)Beautiful lighting on the pistola.
(5 years and 3023 days ago)Cutting off the bottom of this, with no background to help with perspective, hurts the overall render - It's hard to tell if it's a walking stick, or a really fancy cocktail skewer. Beautiful detail on the top, though. The carved areas where the head joins the staff are an especially nice touch.
(5 years and 3023 days ago)Her hand looks a bit blotchy, you may want to select just that portion and rework the colors, but this came out quite well.
(5 years and 3023 days ago)A bit washed out, with the edges of the skin too light compared to the middle, and the hair looks too pale, but a great photo. Source link?
(5 years and 3023 days ago)Great motion capture! Good compostion, too.
(5 years and 3023 days ago)Shame you cut his feet off at the bottom. Nice color and focus, though.
(5 years and 3023 days ago)I'd also change the camera angle to show off more of the bread, rather than the basket.
(5 years and 3023 days ago)These sound tasty. They look a bit underdone, but the rise of the dough is very nice. Now I need to try to find a recipe!
(5 years and 3023 days ago)Are these "Pao de Queijo," made with tapioca instead of wheat flour?
Great expression on the baby's face. Nice job!
(5 years and 3023 days ago)She has a really large forehead, judging from the positioning of the facial features. I really like the light reflections on her face, though.
(5 years and 3023 days ago)The light fixture in the upper left hand corner is distracting and takes attention away from your focal point, the crystal clear TV. I'd crop it off, so that the TV retains dominance of the photo.
(5 years and 3023 days ago)I have a life, thank you, as well as color calibrated monitors, and I check things on both. If you want her to look like she has gum disease, that's your choice.
(5 years and 3023 days ago)Great render - It tells a story, and makes you wonder why it is abandoned on the street, unsheathed...Looks like it didn't help the owner when he tried to use it...You should add a bit of blood onto the street or the blade. Nice work!
(5 years and 3024 days ago)Can't really see much of smile at all, just a nose and...sunglasses?, with some teeth barely visible if you look hard.
(5 years and 3024 days ago)I want one of those! Wish the photo wasn't quite so dark and that there was less empty space all around.
(5 years and 3024 days ago)Nice effect, very rich color.
(5 years and 3024 days ago)Great effect!
(5 years and 3024 days ago)Looks like a manipulation to me, author. I'd leave it in the contest, you've done a nice job, the color manipulations are well done!
(5 years and 3024 days ago)The black line on the top of her teeth is distracting, otherwise, good job!
(5 years and 3024 days ago)You should have entered this in the Cartoon Effect contest. It's great!
(5 years and 3024 days ago)The color banding is very distracting.
(5 years and 3024 days ago)Really crude and pixelated edges and lines. You might try one of the free online applications like pixlr.com or splashup.com, which have much better painting tools and do not require you to download anything.
(5 years and 3024 days ago)A bit off center on her head, but great job on the skin!
(5 years and 3024 days ago)Stunning chop. Truly beautiful work.
(5 years and 3024 days ago)Over a billion arteries clogged! Great picture, love the ratty lathe under the sign...
(5 years and 3024 days ago)Good effect, but the man's face looks "dirty." You might want to paint adjust it a bit more...
(5 years and 3024 days ago)I've never seen a parking lot with a "No Swimming" sign before...
(5 years and 3024 days ago)The tilt of the lines, combined with the blurry person, hurts the focal point of your image (library). You can't help the motion blur, but you should straighten the crop for this using the ceiling horizontal as your benchmark, rotating the photo slightly to the right to correct the downward left tilt.
(5 years and 3024 days ago)Where did escar go? LOLOLOL! Oh, how I've wanted to use that joke for YEARS! Great photo, and great joke for me...Good job!
(5 years and 3024 days ago)The drop shadow makes it look like the dinosaur is standing in front of a picture of a hill...
(5 years and 3024 days ago)What a wonderful entry - It truly reflects the way a kaleidoscope works. Very well done!
(5 years and 3024 days ago)What a great collection, you can't help but smile back at them!
