The cookie shapes look interesting, but they look very bland and washed out, especially with the colorless background.
(5 years and 3044 days ago)Cheesecake is such a wonderfully decadent treat. You've made this look yummy and elegant. The recipe looks pretty good, too. MUCH less work and a fluffier result than old-fashioned, baked cheesecake.
(5 years and 3044 days ago)There's no ink in the inkwell, and it seems too disconnected from the rest of the image, which is compounded by the positioning. If it had been angled about 45 degrees, the visual movement would have echoed the pen and stamp, making it more a part of the overall composition.
(5 years and 3044 days ago)The photo tilts slightly down to the left...a distraction in its own right...
(5 years and 3044 days ago)Not the most appetizing title, but the description is truly funny, and it makes the photo more interesting, for sure!
(5 years and 3044 days ago)I like the cut glass container. Combined with the gelatine, it resembles a pineapple. Too bad about the spoon, it is the only detraction from a great image.
(5 years and 3044 days ago)Too dark. The figure in front appears to have no head, and the crayon appears to be crooked and tilting to the left. The shadows of the people are too distorted and kind of goofy looking, not to mention the directions they are all going in signifies a very strong light source centered behind the crayon, and much lower than the lighting on top of the clouds would indicate...
(5 years and 3044 days ago)This just doesn't seem to be very well thought out.
I really like this, it says "travel!" The sunglasses on the 'x' are a great touch!
(5 years and 3044 days ago)From a distance, this just doesn't really do much for the eye. The website address is overwhelmed by everything else going on, it's just too small and indistinct. It would have been better in solid black than lightly outlined blue. It's an original idea, but not strong enough visually.
(5 years and 3044 days ago)Looks much better "color coordinated," as it were. Very nice effort, a very good entry!
(5 years and 3044 days ago)Nice idea, but the features look pasted on, like cutout paper, rather than actual facial features. Perhaps using a Bevel and Emboss Layer style set to "pillow emboss" might help integrate them better into the balloon people.
(5 years and 3044 days ago)Too much blur. Having just the eyes and the far background in focus hurts this image more than helps it, especially along the edges in front of the ears, where it looks too contrived and poorly extracted on the RH side.
(5 years and 3044 days ago)Really nice photo composition for the contest, with just enough of the window showing in the bottom corner, without it dominating the picture.
(5 years and 3044 days ago)This is truly nice in Hi-res, you can see all the details of the buildings, as well as the sparkles in the little stars. Well done!
(5 years and 3044 days ago)Having never seen an olive that wasn't from a can or a jar, I would not known what these were if not for the title. Excellent composition, as the fingertips echo the olives beautifully!
(5 years and 3044 days ago)The window dresser who made this deserves an award. I love the slipper hanging off the foot and the color coordinated outfit of the stripped stocking mannequin...Great find, great photo!
(5 years and 3044 days ago)How unusual! Where is this, and is it indoors or out?
(5 years and 3044 days ago)Is the man in the background taking a photo for Pxleyes, too?
How beautiful! Stunning detail, and the colors on the leaves show a lot of depth to this photo.
(5 years and 3044 days ago)Kitty!!!
(5 years and 3044 days ago)Very cute chop. Love the expression on the face, the ears look quite natural, and the title makes you study the image just a wee bit longer. Nice!
Excellent use of the contest source, particularly the ground manipulation. Clean, creative, and thoughtful. Nice work!
(5 years and 3044 days ago)Excellent colorization, hilarious reviews!
(5 years and 3044 days ago)Truly a fun and imaginative chop. Very well done!
The blurry one in the front is distracting. You'd be better off just focusing on the LH one and cropping with more of a portrait orientation.
(5 years and 3044 days ago)Beautiful butterfly, but a bit too much to the right. Since the background is darker on that side, you could center this a bit more without too much of a "target center" effect. It would give it better balance.
(5 years and 3044 days ago)Love the bokeh. The crumpled paper is a bit contrived looking and takes away from the overall strength of the image, as does the strike through lines on some of the words, which make no sense to the image.
(5 years and 3044 days ago)Great concept, excellent background, just a bit of overkill on the note itself.
How did you lure that little fella onto your toe? Sugar water, or are you just naturally so sweet that butterflies land on you? Great shot!
(5 years and 3044 days ago)LOL! It's not the line, it's the person aiming the camera...
(5 years and 3044 days ago)This would look better if you color matched it to the rest of the elephant. As is, it just looks cut and paste.
(5 years and 3044 days ago)Okay, I give. How do you get the curved section on the side? Fish eye lens with a crop? It's a fascinating effect.
(5 years and 3044 days ago)I love the piece of tape on the back that covers a gap where there is no glass at all! This is a great "fix job!" Nice photo!
(5 years and 3044 days ago)Very nice combination of straight, curved, horizontal and vertical lines. Good composition!
(5 years and 3044 days ago)Fun photo. Too bad the woman on the RH side was cut off, along with the man's arm...The two left most people could have been better out of the camera angle, or perhaps a bit further back to include everyone...
(5 years and 3044 days ago)But that's just me. I hate seeing the tops of heads and feet cut off in photos...
Great photo, I love the expression on his face!
(5 years and 3044 days ago)Subtle, yet effective window reflections that add to the overall mood of this piece. Nice work!
(5 years and 3044 days ago)Really nice work, down to the subtle wood grain on the pencil tip.
(5 years and 3044 days ago)The overall lighting is a bit too bright, but the excellent rendering makes that a somewhat moot point. Very well done!
How exquisitely tiny! Nice job of capturing the scale of this beauty!
(5 years and 3044 days ago)That is one massive line. Great photo!
(5 years and 3045 days ago)Nice composition, good title!
(5 years and 3045 days ago)The lighting on the top right of the balloon is inconsistent with the very obvious low sunset...
(5 years and 3045 days ago)Also, the lettering looks flat, and does not conform to the shape of the balloon, in addition to being difficult to read because the left side of the image is too dark.
I'd lighten the overall image, bend the type to fit around the balloon better, and correct that top lighting.
I've never seen a green butterfly before. Pity you couldn't have caught him with his wings fully displayed.
(5 years and 3045 days ago)Great capture, you can see the translucence of the wings, with the leaves showing through. I've never seen a butterfly with a sexy, lacy, set of wings before. Very interesting!
(5 years and 3045 days ago)What a fascinating looking creature! Between the eye patterns and the "legs," it seems to have an edge on not getting eaten by birds. Beautiful focus, the details are nice and clear!
(5 years and 3045 days ago)The focal point of your waiting line is overshadowed by the fruit, which dominates the image, making it the focal point of this image. If you cropped off most of the fruit display, centering in on the people, then they would be your focal point.
(5 years and 3045 days ago)They still make most mannequins to look creepy, though. I think child mannequins are the worst. They look like "children of the corn..." lol! Nice clarity, you can even see the expression on the cat in the corner.
(5 years and 3045 days ago)As a cat person, I think this is adorable. As a composition, this shows good lines and shape, leading the eye back to the hand, with the thumb then leading the eye back to the adorable kitty shaker...The lighting is well done, not being too reflective on the glazed ceramic. Well done!
(5 years and 3045 days ago)I think a better title would be, "Ears looking at you, kid..." LOL!
(5 years and 3045 days ago)Very weird but well done!
Those curves look so sharp, it's hard to imagine a train being able to navigate them. Really interesting photo!
(5 years and 3045 days ago)Really great sense of visual movement, with all the different components working together in this shot. Nice work!
(5 years and 3045 days ago)This is such a lovely garden, I would love to visit such a place and wander through, admiring all the beauty. You've done a wonderful job of conveying its wonder!
(5 years and 3045 days ago)Great color, the greens give it a lot of depth, even with the soft focus.
(5 years and 3045 days ago)What a cool looking, soft balloon! Great idea, nice execution!
