Nice job. I would have made her mouth just a bit smaller, but the overall effect is very striking.
(5 years and 2666 days ago)For me, the high contrast of bright spot on the floor by the bench is distracting from the beautiful stairs and railing, along with the bit of landing on the right hand side. If you cropped the bottom and right off, bringing the focus solely onto the stairs, this would be a much more powerful image.
(5 years and 2666 days ago)I'd suggest straightening out your horizon, the ship is tilting down to the right. But the color is beautiful.
(5 years and 2666 days ago)Stunning and beautiful.
(5 years and 2666 days ago)Very nice composition and color. Good job!
(5 years and 2666 days ago)Very nice color and contrast, but there is a slight downward tilt to the right that throws the visual balance off.
(5 years and 2666 days ago)I would suggest using the top of the stairs as a horizontal perpendicular to "straighten" the perspective.
Imaginative, but it would have been better without the fake signature.
(5 years and 2666 days ago)Great composition, with the stairs leading to the empty blue sky area, and the buildings then providing the visual weight to bring the eye back to then go up the stairs again and again. Very enjoyable to look at!
(5 years and 2666 days ago)Beautiful lighting, but the composition is somewhat boring, with the fruits lined up and so much distance between them. The lack of juxtaposition or visual interaction between the objects, combined with your open composition that has portions of the fruits outside your picture frame gives this a very "incomplete" feeling, that the outer two fruits are not an integral part of the image.
(5 years and 2666 days ago)This is a nightscape, not a landscape with a dark area on the outside. It's pretty, but not the same thing.
(5 years and 2666 days ago)Great capture! The viewer can easily envision what the consequences of not obeying that sign would be. Nice composition.
(5 years and 2666 days ago)What an artistic bug! At first, I thought it was for a Photoshop contest! GREAT capture, great bug!
(5 years and 2668 days ago)Congrats on a well deserved win!
(5 years and 2673 days ago)So, as a blurry, grainy photo with a sepia effect, it doesn't show much photography skill to my eye.
(5 years and 2673 days ago)Your "so?????" reply displays no real technical or artistic argument for this entry, which validates my observation.
Seems quite grainy and out of focus.
(5 years and 2674 days ago)Great capture. Is the dog a photo "ham," or did you have to sneak the shot?
(5 years and 2675 days ago)They do look angry - I bet they're carrying knives...Great photo!
(5 years and 2675 days ago)Fantastic lighting, gives this shot a lot of mood and depth.
(5 years and 2675 days ago)A bit too grainy, but some wonderful tonal depth.
(5 years and 2675 days ago)Nice photo, but it would have helped your composition if the edge of the basket had not been cut off.
(5 years and 2675 days ago)This would be a better image if you level it out a bit, it leans down to the right.
(5 years and 2675 days ago)The colors seem odd, the bird appears slightly purple under its wing, and the overall tone seems a bit too saturated.
(5 years and 2675 days ago)Did you mean "trough," for where it is sitting, or is "Troff" a special breed of goat?
(5 years and 2676 days ago)This is great! I could see it as a Postcard to send back home while on vacation there. Very well done!
(5 years and 2676 days ago)Although I think the Lens Flare is one of those filters that should be punishable by death, this is honestly the only time I can say that I like it. It manages to add just the right touch of whimsy to this piece! It adds just the right amount of lighting to correspond with the light on the side of the creature's face.
(5 years and 2676 days ago)An SBS would be nice, but I wouldn't change a thing about this entry.
He's adorable! Excellent chop!
(5 years and 2676 days ago)Great capture! Wonderful composition and clarity. Good job!
(5 years and 2677 days ago)Truly a beautiful shot, one of my favs!
(5 years and 2679 days ago)Amazing how a change in perspective can cause a change in mood. This almost looks like some truly strange horror image, where the poor girl is being grabbed by the man as she is trying to escape...NOOOoooo!!! Lol!
(5 years and 2679 days ago)Very imaginative!
Stunning photo, simple, yet lyrically beautiful. Excellent composition!
(5 years and 2679 days ago)Really nice composition. The contrast and color help the eye travel beautifully around the photo. Good job!
(5 years and 2679 days ago)Beautiful focus, color, and composition. Very nice shot!
(5 years and 2679 days ago)There is a slight downward tilt to the left. If you level the photo, it will strengthen this image a lot.
(5 years and 2679 days ago)Wonderful capture, it looks like a miniature Flying Wallenda on a tightrope! Great job!
(5 years and 2679 days ago)Very imaginative!
(5 years and 2682 days ago)The photo tilts slightly down to the right, throwing the visual balance off. If you level it a bit using the wine glass stem as a verical perpendicular, the image will be much stronger.
(5 years and 2682 days ago)Nice, but it's a shame the end of the wing was cut off...
(5 years and 2682 days ago)Without corresponding shadows, this merely looks like the Fractalius Filter applied over the source image cut and pasted onto a background. You need to put a little more effort into this entry.
(5 years and 2682 days ago)Beautiful clarity.
(5 years and 2682 days ago)What surface is this fingerprint on? It looks like a macro of a real finger.
(5 years and 2682 days ago)"...the photo must be upside down, not the object you're photographing."
(5 years and 2682 days ago)This photo looks right side up from the water drop patterns...
The edges of the hoverflyuare a bit too sharp, and the white balance a bit too bright for the rest of the image. I would suggest the tiniest bit of blur around the body, and reduce the white (Image>Adjustments>Selective Color) just a couple of degrees but otherwise, VERY creative!
(5 years and 2683 days ago)Beautiful composition, the shadows make this image for me. Very well done!
(5 years and 2683 days ago)I would have corrected the "pet eye" flash reflection in the iris, darkening it, but otherwise this is a very good photo of your dog.
(5 years and 2683 days ago)The black framing around your image already has destroyed any "scene" you may have attempted, by removing the viewer from the area. While I can appreciate your desire to create an environment, the fact that the snow basically stops where the houses begin already places her "somewhere" that is not connected to the background. Judicious cropping of the excess darkness - even if only to the edges of the window frames, approximately 1/3 of the way in, would give your subject much more dominance in the image, and minimize the awkward juxtoposition of the snowy street with unsnowy buildings on either side, even if you retain the black framing.
(5 years and 2683 days ago)The background image is extremely blurry, and the edges of the cupcake make it look like it is "stuck on" and not part of the rest of the image. It is also too pink and yellow in tone, contributing to it not blending in.
(5 years and 2683 days ago)How did you obtain the 3 colors?
(5 years and 2684 days ago)The composition makes it hard to discern what your focal point is here, and the out of focus spheres do not help the eye determine that.
(5 years and 2684 days ago)Where's the hot air balloon???
(5 years and 2684 days ago)Too much empty space on the sides, which lessens the impact of your subject. I would suggest cropping off the empty space and making your subject occupy more of your picture plane.
