Good contrast, nice clarity of the ground texture.
(5 years and 3054 days ago)The shadows on the baby are far darker and sharper than the shadow off the duck. There is also a light shadow off the top of the duck which is totally out of place. The light source on the baby is very bright, while there is no real light source showing on the duck. You can try to use the Dodge Tool to create the light value refraction on the duck, but the shadows will need a lot of work separately.
(5 years and 3054 days ago)The "halos" around the building and on the far RH side are distracting, and throw the values balance off, hurting the composition, but the detail of the building itself is very nice.
(5 years and 3054 days ago)How is this a night photo? Special lens or what?
(5 years and 3055 days ago)The tornado has no "funnel cloud" shape or movement, and the water waves are very fake looking.
(5 years and 3055 days ago)Very "bright" idea!
(5 years and 3055 days ago)The stripes on the arm holding the axe are not the same as the rest of the stripes of his sweater, but this is a delightfully creepy image!
(5 years and 3055 days ago)Looks more like a milkweed than a dandelion, but hard to say that close up...Great detail!
(5 years and 3055 days ago)I like the 3d effect of the trees, sad yet sweet image. Good job!
(5 years and 3055 days ago)Wonderful picture, it makes me want to look at all the goodies!
(5 years and 3055 days ago)Not fair...Except for those fortunate enough to read Chinese, that could be MY name...lol! Great color, love the detail of the beads!
(5 years and 3055 days ago)Beautiful focus, color and composition. I can almost hear the water burbling...
(5 years and 3055 days ago)You didn't create the doll, you just changed the hair and clothes...
(5 years and 3055 days ago)The values are too blown out, the light areas are almost white, particulary the LH corner. This detracts from your focal point, and the light section leading diagonally down to that corner keeps dragging the eye over there.
(5 years and 3055 days ago)Very effective shot, great colors!
(5 years and 3055 days ago)Beautiful and light reflections!
(5 years and 3055 days ago)Better, now maybe just lighten the shadow on the left side of the leg - the body shows a light source from that direction.
(5 years and 3055 days ago)Very original concept, but there needs to be a slight bit of reflection on the chess board from the bottle, to match the reflection of the chess pieces.
(5 years and 3055 days ago)Also, the top of the bottle looks very flat, with no curvature or depth. You need to have the "shoulders" of the bottle show light refraction like the cork at the top.
It just looks like 3 stone crosses in a cemetary. If there is some sort of plaque explaining that it's a memorial, you should have included it in the photo.
(5 years and 3055 days ago)"Please note the statues are supposed to be dark."
(5 years and 3055 days ago)Yeah, but when the viewer can't make out the hats you describe, it's TOO dark.
Very nice sense of movement - well done!
(5 years and 3055 days ago)Between the distance and the B&W, and his age, it's hard to make out the skin affliction very well.
(5 years and 3055 days ago)LOL! Good imagination!
(5 years and 3055 days ago)Great photo! The expressions on the faces and body language, combined with the "hot" atmosphere tells a wonderful visual story!
(5 years and 3055 days ago)I love the crowd in the background, they look interested in the action, too!
(5 years and 3055 days ago)How cool!
(5 years and 3055 days ago)Very nice composition, the way the plant "circles" around the focal point.
(5 years and 3055 days ago)Very interesting looking seed. It resembles a tiny prune...
The background image has much more noise than the contest source - You should add additional noise to the leg so that it is more consistent with the background. Good color match, though.
(5 years and 3055 days ago)Very readable! How many times did you have to practice it?
(5 years and 3056 days ago)Good visual tension!
(5 years and 3056 days ago)Love the facial expression. Great focus!
(5 years and 3056 days ago)Too bad you cut the top of his ears off...
Rye grass? Good image, the seeds form interesting patterns.
(5 years and 3056 days ago)Nice clarity, the clouds really add to the composition.
(5 years and 3056 days ago)OOOoo! The headlights made me do a double take, I thought they were eyes at first! Great mood.
(5 years and 3056 days ago)Fantastic results. Worth all the effort!
(5 years and 3056 days ago)Great job, very realistic!
(5 years and 3056 days ago)That's one you'll want to photograph regularly as it heals...You have my deepest sympathies over that!
(5 years and 3056 days ago)Very nice mood and lighting.
(5 years and 3056 days ago)The neckline looks much better now!
(5 years and 3056 days ago)Great facial expressions, from the sleeping "mama," to the "innocent" kidnapper...Good job!
(5 years and 3056 days ago)Looks better!
(5 years and 3056 days ago)Nicely done without being too complex. Great depth and values!
(5 years and 3056 days ago)Much easier to read, good improvement!
(5 years and 3056 days ago)It's better now, the base of the monument can be seen. Gives it better depth and mood. Nice improvement!
(5 years and 3056 days ago)Great photo!
(5 years and 3056 days ago)This is a great image. It makes the viewer pause, and consider all the element, and anything that makes you look at if for more than 2 seconds is a successful image in my book. Really good selection of subject!
(5 years and 3056 days ago)The contest source is your main focal point, and hasn't been CBR'd (Chopped Beyond Recognition) into some bird, or flower, or other object totally unrelated to what it was. You've kept it intact and enhanced it. That is an accomplishment in itself. That you did so in a believable manner makes it a good manipulation in my book...
(5 years and 3056 days ago)At 600px, with no Hi-res, it's hard to see what the column is going through, just that the angled shadow going through that bus is not consistent with the shadows coming off of every other object in your background, most noticeably the trees...Since the bus is casting a shadow, the shadow on the ground should be of the same value as the bus shadow. Shadows don't get lighter...
(5 years and 3056 days ago)My observational skills are sufficient to see glaring errors...
That's because Rems was too busy taking pictures with his pinhole camera instead of practicing his penmanship back then...lol!
(5 years and 3056 days ago)Good job correcting the lighting. It was the top of that roof on the left that was throwing a visual monkey wrench into the image. Now it's no longer fighting for dominance, and the roofline can bring the eye back down to the duck.
