This came out great, LOVE the sky! Good job, glad you enjoy the contest!

This came out really nice, almost like a watercolor!
(5 years and 3068 days ago)Very delicate effect, nice colors. A bit too fuzzy in the foreground, though. Perhaps duplicating the layer and overlaying it for more definition?
(5 years and 3068 days ago)Author, you need to post the source of your photo or the original image if it is your own. This is a truly lovely image, it would be a shame to have it removed!
(5 years and 3068 days ago)Great image, good job on the rain. LOVE the mood!
(5 years and 3068 days ago)Nice colors, good effect.
(5 years and 3068 days ago)Great concept!
(5 years and 3068 days ago)This is very sweet. A nice image.
(5 years and 3068 days ago)You could crop the entire left side off and redirect the focus onto the couple and the center arch, and it would help the image. The creatures are somewhat distracting, especially the "pig" hanging down.
(5 years and 3069 days ago)Really nice effect!
(5 years and 3069 days ago)"You can use only your own photos..."
(5 years and 3069 days ago)Needs an SBS with the uncut, for sure.
She's not "under" the cables, she's inside of them...
(5 years and 3069 days ago)The black blurry stuff at the top and bottom add nothing to this image.
There's a fine line between "fantasy" and "foolish," akassa. Good fantasy art is visibly believable, not just a bunch of stuff stuck together. I've been around quite awhile, and some of the best Fantasy Artists (digital and traditional) are successful not for being able to stick a bunch of images together, but for being able to do so in a convincing and realistic manner...
(5 years and 3069 days ago)Nice flipped image. Somewhat haunting looking.
(5 years and 3069 days ago)Much better!
(5 years and 3069 days ago)I am trying to understand, author. Since you have chosen the Moon, which orbits our Earth, it should visually make some sense to the image. The Moon is illuminated by the Sun. Therefore, it can't be "15 cm from the person and 3ft from the ground..." Where would it get the light that is reflecting off of it???
(5 years and 3069 days ago)If you had made a glowing orb to light the man, THAT would be believable. But to take a LARGE planetary body, and simply stick it in the image is incongruous and illogical.
Really good job in changing the coloring and mood of the source. Almost alien looking...
(5 years and 3069 days ago)The lighting on the person is opposite the lighting on the background...
(5 years and 3069 days ago)Very original concept. Well done!
(5 years and 3069 days ago)I was, too. But the baby's too well lit. If it is under the planet's shadow, the baby should be all in shadow, not casting a shadow of itself...
(5 years and 3069 days ago)EDIT: Better, now the baby looks more in the shadow.
Beautiful colors on the neck ribbon, but it has no value difference to show depth. The body looks very flat, like those circus cut outs that you stick your head through...
(5 years and 3069 days ago)Just a wee bit too dark behind his legs - It looks like there is a square shadow being cast onto the tail area. The feet are also a bit odd colored. Perhaps a light application of the Dodge Tool to bring up their contrast a bit?
(5 years and 3069 days ago)Not really, author. "Under" means "under." Lighting needs to be consistent, even "under" a full moon that is behind you in the sky...Whether or not you make changes is up to you. But at least you are aware of the inconsistencies in your execution of the image.
(5 years and 3069 days ago)The shadow of the planet, and the lighting on the baby do not match up.
(5 years and 3069 days ago)Although the large full moon is behind him, the man has no backlighting, and appears to be illuminated from the front...The second moon is distracting.
(5 years and 3069 days ago)The red soldiers are all different sizes, and do not blend well with the purple background. The one on the far left has a white outline where he was poorly cut out, and the one next to him is casting no shadow, even though his leg is in direct sunlight...
(5 years and 3069 days ago)Since this IS a competition, quality of your efforts should be a consideration, not an afterthought.
The focus of the various elements is not consistent, and the floor is at a different perspective angle to the man standing on it. This just looks hurried and thrown together.
(5 years and 3070 days ago)SOoooo dark! Part of the beauty of the painting are the colors and the brushstrokes. This is just an almost black mass with some bright spots and black shapes coming out...
(5 years and 3070 days ago)The edges of the person under the elephant are very blurry compared to the rest of the image, with the erased parts of the legs looking strange...
(5 years and 3070 days ago)Very summery!
(5 years and 3070 days ago)A bit dark and too desaturated, but interesting texture...
(5 years and 3070 days ago)Nice effect, great colors!
(5 years and 3070 days ago)Nice extraction, but the missing bit on the RH side should be painted back in slightly, and you might consider flipping the duplicate so it doesn't look quite so "cut and paste duplicated..."
(5 years and 3070 days ago)It looks like the wings are sprouting from her head, instead of her upper back...
(5 years and 3070 days ago)Same shape, different source...
(5 years and 3071 days ago)It's better, now that you've added back a bit of the wing effect. Just colored light wasn't enough.
(5 years and 3071 days ago)I liked the other wings better. These are too transparent and don't really look like part of the body...
(5 years and 3071 days ago)The grass color is a bit bland, and the rock looks very flat and "cut and paste," but that may be the effect you were going for, rather than realistic...
(5 years and 3071 days ago)LOL! Love the body...
(5 years and 3071 days ago)"A demon does not have a reflection, imo..."
(5 years and 3071 days ago)It's vampires that supposedly don't have reflections...
And if that theorem holds true, then why would angels have a reflection? They're supposedly "ether and light..."
But since it is a "dream" should any of it have a reflection?
Better, but now they are a bit too small and "slit like," and the addition of the weird cracked stone texture is very distracting - especially the heavy diagonal mark above the lip. It doesn't really look like a statue, nor like "Tom Riddle's sister," it looks like a facial mask treatment gone bad...
(5 years and 3071 days ago)But kitysrblk, that wouldn't explain the blurry rocks beneath them, or their blurry tails...lol!
(5 years and 3071 days ago)Needs an SBS. Without seeing the original, it looks like the large rock has been way over textured - It doesn't match any of the surrounding rock at all...Too much contrast.
(5 years and 3071 days ago)I think I'd clone out the microphone with only part of the stand, it really looks out of place...
(5 years and 3072 days ago)Better.
(5 years and 3072 days ago)It's a stronger image now. Great SBS, excellent Pen Tool work. Best of success!
(5 years and 3072 days ago)~M
Yes, just above the inside corner and the eyelid crease. It's barely noticeable, but I have hyper color sensitivity, so I see it really well...
(5 years and 3072 days ago)Funny, author, I thought this would be the tutorial that you would choose!
(5 years and 3072 days ago)The shadow beneath her leg is a bit too large, and the shadow on her right shoulder contradicts the light reflection on the hood of the mustang, but the color tones are spot on. Nice work!
There is a reflection of the man in the water, but nothing at all of the fireworks... Also, the black along the outer edges hurts the illusion. If you go to Image>Adjustments>Selective Color and choose "Blacks" from the drop down box, you can lighten those and make them better blend into the sky.
(5 years and 3072 days ago)This is beautiful! Exquisite color match to the earrings.
(5 years and 3072 days ago)There is the tinist diagonal dark shadow on the side of the nose, and another that is shaped like a small half circle at the inside corner of the eye. I'd lighten those ever so slightly...
