Awesome effect!
(5 years and 3197 days ago)Her left shoulder (RH side) is jammed up beneath her neck.
(5 years and 3197 days ago)Very nice work, excellent effect!
(5 years and 3199 days ago)Love it!
(5 years and 3200 days ago)"Back in the day," they were mobile up to a distance of about 40-50 miles...I had a customer who had one, and was so proud of it, even though he really had no one to call with it...lol!
(5 years and 3200 days ago)Good texture on the facial skin, but the whites of the eyes are too bright and look painted. Eyes are never "pure" solid white, they are always a bit off-white, because they have veins and arteries running through them.
(5 years and 3200 days ago)A bit "over vibrant," for a Dragan.
Very sweet. The water drops have a bit too heavy of a white outline around them, although some of them only have a bit of the white outline, making them look more "real." Perhaps if you soften or reduce the outline on the tops of some of the others, they will blend with the rest of the image better.
(5 years and 3200 days ago)Great effect! Good to see some entries of people not all old and wrinkly!
(5 years and 3200 days ago)This is wonderfully creepy! Great job on blurring the edges to match the background source.
(5 years and 3201 days ago)Beautiful effect, especially the sweater!
(5 years and 3201 days ago)Hilarious image. Well done!
(5 years and 3201 days ago)Perlie, a green skin tone is more than artistic license, it's a technical flaw in a contest trying to emulate the effect.
(5 years and 3202 days ago)And just because you saw green tutorials does not make them accurate Dragan effects. That's why I did not link to second-rate tutorials, I linked to the actual artist's website, so that members could see the effect to attempt, which is more a High Def, skin texture focused effect...That's why the contest states, "...give it your best "Dragan effect," not "sharpen and color tint it."
Author, I suggested this contest. I'm VERY aware of the Dragan effect, and sorry, a green tint to the skin is not quite what a good "Dragan" strives to achieve...lol! Especially the green in his beard...Might work for St. Patrick's day, though!
(5 years and 3202 days ago)Check Dragan's website (the link is in the contest description), and YOU can then see what the Dragan effect looks like.
You might try a Curves adjustment of the Green channel to try to tone that down a bit. Or pin a shamrock onto his hat.
The trees look more like potted plants - the shape is wrong, and the "belts" at waist level look like they were almost cut in half...
(5 years and 3202 days ago)The ring setting is beautiful, but the stone looks like a glass, there are no inner reflections of the stone, you can see the setting through the back of it.
(5 years and 3202 days ago)This is exquisite!
(5 years and 3202 days ago)He looks a might "green," but the eyes are great!
(5 years and 3202 days ago)The contest source is barely visible in this. this a photo manipulation contest, not a digital drawing contest. You might be better off entering this in the Mixed Media contest...
(5 years and 3202 days ago)Good job!
(5 years and 3202 days ago)Beautiful stone, but the side of the ring is flat, while the prongs, the inside, and the top all show some reflection and "metal" coloring. If you can add a bit of contrast to the sides, I think you'll have a winner!
(5 years and 3203 days ago)The shadow on the can is too dark, I'd suggest repositioning the light source and toning it down a bit. It's specular is so bright the entire can should be MUCH brighter and the Ice cubes should likewise be full of bright reflections, but it's also so bright that it's distracting from the product...
(5 years and 3203 days ago)It doesn't look like rain, so much as a noise texture with a motion blur...Almost like a blue curtain.
(5 years and 3203 days ago)Part of this is due to the background color (rain doesn't usually have such a blue environment), and the whitish shapes, in addition to the "too regular" noise.
Perhaps you could lightly erase parts of the "rain" at a reduced opacity with one of the "speckle" brush shapes to make the downpour look a bit more random.
The rainbow wouldn't cast a shadow, as much as the rainbow would also be showing on the canvas beneath the cup, albeit much fainter.
(5 years and 3204 days ago)Those "perky ta-ta's" are a might too high, even allowing for a killer push-up bra...
(5 years and 3205 days ago)The hair extension is very plastic looking. I thought it was a weird bird on her until I checked the Hi-res.
Needs a little more work.
LOL! Very creative, love the shark!
(5 years and 3205 days ago)That looks like a man's hand. The fingers are very thick for a woman.
(5 years and 3206 days ago)The metal of the blades looks a bit flat, more like gray plastic. Nice handles though!
(5 years and 3206 days ago)The setting looks like yellow plastic. There are no highlights or color variations to make it look like gold metal...
(5 years and 3206 days ago)Here is a tutorial that might help you.
http://www.gomediazine.com/tutorials/badass-bling-effect-in-photoshop/
The lighting and focus of all three animals looks very inconsistent with the rest of the picture. The skunk is far too blurry and is lit from the top. The rabbit is far too sharp and is lit from the side. The deer is only slightly blurry, but is lit from the back and top right subtly, but too dim for the field...
(5 years and 3206 days ago)The bunny also appears to be levitating above the ground, rather than nestled into the greenery...
This is a nice concept, but needs some adjustment.
He doesn't look 21 minimum in the second picture...Maybe a bit more beard and a bit more facial creasing on the forehead and around the eyes.
(5 years and 3206 days ago)Nice image, but the shadow underneath is too strong for the environment. It is an overcast day, with no clear light source. The ambient lighting makes for softer shadows, look at the stick on the LH side and the bend at the end of the road...
(5 years and 3206 days ago)Really well done, except the texture on the sides of the machine bases looks a bit too large...
(5 years and 3207 days ago)Very impressive lighting.
Excellent work! The facial lines make her look over 21, but holding up well. Really good job.
(5 years and 3208 days ago)The harsh black outline around the feet and the "claws" are distracting, giving this a semi-cartoonish look, and the lack of any shadow beneath it makes it look too cut and paste.
(5 years and 3208 days ago)Needs a head if it's beer...
(5 years and 3209 days ago)The edges of the horse are a bit too sharp for the image, especially with the filter effect. There is also a bit of a dark outline where you removed the background. You might want to blur them slightly by using an eraser with a soft edge.
(5 years and 3209 days ago)The ants are all the same size, even though the landscape shows depth and distance. It gives this a really "cut and paste" effect, and doesn't look very alien, so much as ants walking around on a photo.
(5 years and 3209 days ago)Perhaps varying the size and skewing the ants a bit, and adding a space ship into the image?
The focal point is too small, and is overdominated by the waves...A bit of judicious cropping would help convey the focus much better.
(5 years and 3212 days ago)Would have been better in color...
(5 years and 3212 days ago)The black background makes the dome look too cut and paste flat. Perhaps a starry sky from Nasa.gov would help.
(5 years and 3213 days ago)The bird is a bit too solid to look like smoke. It looks more like it's smoking and is about to burst into flame.
(5 years and 3214 days ago)With a bit different placement and 12 blocks, that would make a mind-blowing clock!
(5 years and 3214 days ago)Naaah, fr33rider2, it's blurry, but NOT in a motion blur type of way. It's blurry as in not as focused as the rest of the surrounding image...
(5 years and 3215 days ago)Consistent focus is part of the criteria of a successful chop, not just the concept.
Very poor usage of the contest source.
(5 years and 3215 days ago)The rhino image is too blurry, and the edges are too sharp. It looks very cut and paste. You also need a shadow that corresponds to the bullfighter.
(5 years and 3215 days ago)You need to post the source for the photo you used for this, or an SBS.
(5 years and 3216 days ago)Michael! They said you were dead!
(5 years and 3216 days ago)This image appears to be a rip off of this image:
(5 years and 3216 days ago)http://www.worth1000.com/entries/365389/handstand
Her skin tones are very blotchy and strange - Her forehead looks almost green, while her jawline looks bruised...Makeup should even out the skin tones, not emphasize them.
(5 years and 3216 days ago)You've also whitened her eyes and teeth a bit too much. Sometimes, less is more.
The top of the car and where the hood meets the door are too blurred, and the blackened windows with the strange highlights at the top look like paper cutouts, because they don't correspond with the rest of the car, nor the background.
(5 years and 3216 days ago)The paint job is awesome, but the detailing needs work.
