I understand what you were going for, but I would've went a different way. I would've left the water background and instead of using the liquify tool. Just copy the lips to a new layer and then just resize them proportionately. If you make them big enough she would look part fish. Regardless nice entry and good luck!

Because you are very fond of shadows, here is one for you:
compare length of the shadow that the trunk is casting in your manipulation, looks same as that one in original image...but length of the trunk is not the same...isn't it???

I agree, some variations in light around the walls would;ve been nice. It would eliminate the whole 'pasted in' feel.

The shadows the objects are casting look great and your floor pattern is crazy good!

The arm on the left looks very awkwardly positioned, almost dislocated. Still overall the image looks good.

Agree with CMYK. It also would improve the image greatly if you tried to darken the inside areas of the cushions on the arms of the chair...it might help give some variance to the 'blue look' of the shot. Just a thought. Good job!

IMO, you should have taken the time to add defocus to areas because right now it all looks too clear. You cloned the bricks from up from and restored the background in the same clarity, Making the DOF look off.

And least in the first version, they got the DOF right.

I think the author did a bit more than the other. Both are great and i think that it took a lot of work to get rid of the moss etc. Nice work!

Author this is very nice clean work without any doubt but its true that is not very original....Its not problem in CBR or anything similar...thing is that one other author did the same thing few days ago...so in that case your entry was a copy...i know that is not and that u put effort in this but its not original...maybe u did not watch other entry's in the contest...who knows...any how i wish u best of luck
