try decreasing the intensity of the shadow itself..increasing the specularity on the smiley...changing the mirror to a glass material and rethinking the facial expression..and this will be a good submission

you have found some really nice textures..it's a simplistic model, but I don't think wood blocks could look much better..nice reflection in the floor...I agree that it probably shouldn't be a child's playroom though..lol

Nice work and a good effort but i guess the smiley looks pretty dark...Overall the image needs brightness....Shadows have been taken care of but the basic colour of the smiley could have also been brightened a bit. But a nice effort...Good luck...

Nice work....only thing missing on the smiley's part would be lips. Laughing, sad or surprised or watever but you could made it even better by adding mouth in terms of any particular expression. Eyes are there but the mouth is missing....But a very good work...

Excellent! @Giulia: If you look at the balls you can SEE exactly where the light source is and you will see that the shadows are correct. You don't make shadows in 3D. Your light source does.
