I really don't know how to vote on this one...Cause this is great entry, love the idea, love the final image but this is full 3D work in PS contest...
(5 years and 2946 days ago)sorry about the multiple posts it was meant to be just one ;( I screwed up LOL (I'll edit them into one just hold on :P)
(5 years and 2947 days ago)As for the idea, its really not bad it just not unique that kinda was my point.
We could have a long debate on the pros and cons of 3d versus photoshop but I dont think that will get us anywhere near to a positive outcome. I cant compare 3d really well with photoshop thats a personal thing I think, so thats why I had a hard time voting on it. I just went in the middle not bad vote not good vote. Because I dont think its bad at all. But if you had to compose that in photoshop it would be a lot harder I think. That doesnt mean that you didn't do much or that it was easy. Just very different.
double post
(5 years and 2947 days ago)I rly have a hard time voting on this since it seems to be a full 3d entry, I like the materials, the wood and gold and lead but they where allready created material textures and the computer calculates the reflections and shadows etc where in photoshop you have to do that yourself. so that costs points.
(5 years and 2947 days ago)This isnt rly YOUR invention o.o; alchemist have been trying to turn lead into gold for ages.. they actualy succeeded too.
http://chemistry.about.com/cs/generalchemistry/a/aa050601a.htm
Transmutation of lead into gold isn't just theoretically possible - it has been achieved! There are reports that Glenn Seaborg, 1951 Nobel Laureate in Chemistry, succeeded in transmuting a minute quantity of lead (possibly en route from bismuth, in 1980) into gold. There is an earlier report (1972) in which Soviet physicists at a nuclear research facility near Lake Baikal in Siberia accidentally discovered a reaction for turning lead into gold when they found the lead shielding of an experimental reactor had changed to gold.
Simple but good
(5 years and 2949 days ago)Very nice!!!!
(5 years and 2950 days ago)MINES! hehehe.. so galaxy quest LOL.. good luck
(5 years and 2951 days ago)got that whole Lord of the Rings feel too it LOL.. good luck
(5 years and 2967 days ago)Beautiful shot
(5 years and 2970 days ago)Nice Congrats
(5 years and 2971 days ago)Nice Congrats
(5 years and 2971 days ago)great job!!! congrats on very hi 2nd
(5 years and 2972 days ago)Like the shadows-they emphasize the lonely feel
(5 years and 2973 days ago)Lovely, I'm sure it would ook beautiful in colour too.
(5 years and 2981 days ago)Desaturating it really took a lot of "oomph" out of the picture. The Gazebo looks very drab and low contrast...
(5 years and 2982 days ago)Congrats! Great entry!
(5 years and 2987 days ago)oh!
(5 years and 2989 days ago)Congratulations on second
(5 years and 2993 days ago)Congratulations on second
(5 years and 2993 days ago)How was the desaturation done?
(5 years and 3003 days ago)I wonder how much money Jack Daniels makes off of all the musicians who think their standard uniform requires that t-shirt?
(5 years and 3005 days ago)Goal states "As an exception: a small plain colored border is allowed between the photos"
(5 years and 3005 days ago)there is nothing about a border all around.
nice photos, good luck
(5 years and 3019 days ago)Wow, very thoughtful concepts with great message
(5 years and 3019 days ago)Great idea, I'm thinking about learning the sign language. = )
(5 years and 3020 days ago)Nice Congrats
(5 years and 3020 days ago)Wow, this should have won!
(5 years and 3021 days ago)great pic!
(5 years and 3021 days ago)Love it, simple yet elegant. Well done
(5 years and 3021 days ago)Yay!
At least I had the single letters right.
(5 years and 3022 days ago)But not even for a second I thought about reading it just as one sentence...
That's probably one of the problems, when English isn't your first language. If it would have been in German, it probably would have yelled at me: "I'm a sentence, I'm a sentence!"
I knew that sign language varied from language to language. But I didn't realize that British Sign language so much different from American sign language! American sign language only uses one hand for letters!! Very interesting!
(5 years and 3023 days ago)well done
(5 years and 3023 days ago)Very clever idea here
(5 years and 3024 days ago)Resourceful! Well conceived and executed - an image with a message.
(5 years and 3024 days ago)Ok, that kept me busy for an half hour now...

(5 years and 3024 days ago)Either I used the wrong alphabet to translate it, or the message is so good hidden, that I just don't see it.
What I got, read from left to right:
turny
our?o
undsi
nto?i
sdom
Both "?" could be a "w", but I'm not sure about that one.
Am I halfway close or completey wrong? It doesn't make sense
Great idea btw!
looking like a Vintage Photo
(5 years and 3026 days ago)good one...... all the best
(5 years and 3026 days ago)I like this one!
(5 years and 3027 days ago)so what exactly did u do in photoshop?
(5 years and 3031 days ago)looking cool... Rim light making is so attractive... gr8 job author..... gud luck
(5 years and 3033 days ago)nice reflection on the tube...
(5 years and 3033 days ago)author.. bit of concern.. you should take the surface of one of the lifesavers and place it over the surface of one of the discs you created and blend it into the image to prevent from being pulled on a technicality .. great chop, but I've seen images pulled for less.. great job as always
(5 years and 3035 days ago)Whan I look at your SBS, it seems like you didn't use the source file, but you made the objects yourself?
(5 years and 3035 days ago)This is very nice, I like this entry a lot. Very well done.
(5 years and 3035 days ago)parts remind me of those collapsible laundry baskets LOL.. good luck
(5 years and 3036 days ago)this one is really goood
(5 years and 3039 days ago)great, why didn't I think of that?
(5 years and 3040 days ago)I preffer the textures the white door and the original mat but the floor and the wall looks more reallistic in the new entry. Both are great.
(5 years and 3043 days ago)Amazing, nice work with textures, good luck!
(5 years and 3045 days ago)p.s. - I'm not a big fan of the wall geometry going through each other. It would be nice if it were the inside of a cube, rather than 3 planes that intersect.
