It's a start author, keep up working. when i started drawing i was immitating famous paintors or real photos for practice. In time you'll get better.

Try to make the skin look like it's on top of the skull by adding an edge to it, so that it has thickness. (Ctrl J the skin layer and move it up a bit, change it brightness- so that you can see it blend in, adjust with dodge/ burn).
