great pic, and the subject is, well, daaamn I've never been jealous of a camera before he he
(5 years and 3236 days ago)Nice find. Is this coincidence, or will you go to ANY length to get the right shot?
(5 years and 3237 days ago)Nice, the night shot is a little noisy (you probably have a camera that copes with low light about as well as mine!) I know you will never have a time when this place is not swarming with people, so I would sujjest angling more upwards and avoiding the crowds in the shot would have made for a more striking image (just imo).
(5 years and 3237 days ago)You say traffic, I say chaos! Nice shot/s though author.
(5 years and 3237 days ago)If I can chuck my 2 cents worth in here, I think these are two really well shot images. And for me is really well on theme.
(5 years and 3237 days ago)I'd hate to see us get to the point where we're so pedantic about the rules that we lose all artistic licence. Nope, lets leave that can o' worms closed! .
Top entry author, I know/hope this will do well.
Yeah, we've got a real contender here - awesome job!
(5 years and 3237 days ago)This is very nice, the name is very clear, which I imagine took a few attempts! I'm sure this earned you a few brownie points!
(5 years and 3237 days ago)I really like this one! Particularly the way you have angled and framed the shot. Well done.
(5 years and 3238 days ago)I think this is just a bit too dark to make the food look appetising. I like the setup and DOF though.
(5 years and 3238 days ago)Yes, some glossy syrup would have really made this appetising, but I'm guessing your props are now long gone , oh well, you might want to get back in the kitchen and stock up for a few re-shoots, just incase !
(5 years and 3238 days ago)Oh, and one other question, why do you eat breakfast in the dark? hehe.
Nice job. You might need to fix a couple of the minor details to take this to the next level though, sush as removing the straight lines in the floorboards after the vortex/swirl has started. A good chop though.
(5 years and 3238 days ago)All credit to you, I had wrongly attributed this piece to one of our more famous PS artists here, and I was genuinely surprised to see it wasn't theirs - the style is very similar. Trust me this is a compliment to your work!
(5 years and 3239 days ago)Oh and Josh, I understand Dexter, my other favourite show, but Weeds, really that's a bit predictable for you isn't it?
I'm with you Josh, I thought the same thing - one of my absolute fav shows btw!
(5 years and 3241 days ago)Nicely executed chop too, has a familiar style to it...
The pic is a little noisy, but I think it really works with the 'old school' looking shot. Well done.
(5 years and 3241 days ago)This is soooo on theme! Made me get my ROFL on.
(5 years and 3241 days ago)Beautiful shot
(5 years and 3244 days ago)nice shot, with this shot it makes it look like it's rectangular (higher than it really is) - a bit of an optical illusion (or that might just be me )
(5 years and 3244 days ago)There are some issues with perspective here, but I like the chop, and a good inage overall.
(5 years and 3244 days ago)Yeah, really not seeing the irony here, sorry. Could you please explain it for us?
(5 years and 3245 days ago)I think this is more of an oxmoron than irony, presuming you are talking about the term 'quality junk'
(5 years and 3245 days ago)Rob, perhaps it is that the traffic signals are intended to prevent accidents, yet it is broken... I could be drawing a long bow here, but that might be it...
(5 years and 3245 days ago)This is just wonderful, it fits the theme really well, but if you entered it on its own merit in another contest it would still be a contender! A case of accidental enhancement
(5 years and 3248 days ago)Agree with Friiskiwi, it looks like the point of focus in on the pawns rather than the king & queen which confuses the eye a little. Love the lighting, colour and the feel of the shot though
(5 years and 3248 days ago)Very effective, personally I think it would have worked if the focus was a little further back in the centre of the flower though.
(5 years and 3248 days ago)This is just great author. I only wish I had a camera (and operator) capable of such a shot!
(5 years and 3257 days ago)This is a stunning picture! Beautiful colours.
(5 years and 3262 days ago)Top photo, well done!
(5 years and 3268 days ago)And welcome to the wonderful world of Pxl
I really like this shot, the lighting is great, and those eyes!
(5 years and 3268 days ago)Very clear shot, and nicely lit. Great job
(5 years and 3287 days ago)Nice job author, looks better!
(5 years and 3288 days ago)This is very nicely put together, well done.
(5 years and 3288 days ago)Oh and good call Rob, a giant sole of a foot would work well here
sorry, i didnt see the source links in your sbs, I stand corrected.
(5 years and 3288 days ago)Yes, they sure are Kookaburras. Lovely birds unless you are out camping and feel like sleeping in past dawn
(5 years and 3289 days ago)This is really nice work, not easy to create a water look and I think you have done well with this one!
(5 years and 3289 days ago)Author can you please list your sources for the snowflake and texture brushes (assuming you haven't made them yourself), and the santa hats.
(5 years and 3289 days ago)The filter you used actually works well here, gives it a heat haze kind of look. I agree on the eyes too, nice job.
(5 years and 3289 days ago)I can see that this would have taken you quite a long time to create with putting the individual sections of grass in, so I applaud your efforts.
(5 years and 3289 days ago)Unfortunately this is extremely difficult to make look realistic. It works ok for the further sections where you cannot see the detail of the blades of grass, but the closer sections look really pasted on.
I think if you removed some of the closer sections and the parts behind the arches, you might have a nicer result. Some vines or plants to help give it an overgrown look might add something too.
It might be my amateur eye, but apart from being a bit grainy I don't see what the problem is with this shot. I like it, striking sublect captured from a good angle.
(5 years and 3289 days ago)It looks a bit floaty at the moment, a bit of shadow on the ground and a few pieces of grass showing infront of the swan would help give it the impression of sitting on the ground.
(5 years and 3289 days ago)Very nice picture, nicely framed too.
(5 years and 3289 days ago)Yes, the light 'from above' really makes this photo special. Was getting a shot with this light through patience or good luck?
(5 years and 3290 days ago)Love it, and I think I know the restaurant this came from
(5 years and 3290 days ago)Not sure what to say, at least we can confidently say the inside of his nose is clean
(5 years and 3290 days ago)Yes, the light is beautiful... it has a very soft feel. Nice!
(5 years and 3290 days ago)Love those eyes, to me it looks like the 'what just happened in my pants?!?!' face. hahaha
(5 years and 3290 days ago)Perfect subject for a HDR, so much depth and detail. Well done!
(5 years and 3291 days ago)If only the bottom of the teapot wasn't so abruptly cut off, this would be perfect. Still a wonderful shot though author. Well done!!
(5 years and 3291 days ago)Well this is awesome! Not sure what else I can say really...
(5 years and 3291 days ago)Oh wait, a very minor nitpick is that when you have flipped one of the images the light source is now coming from opposite ends. Not a negative, but the only thing I could possibly find 'wrong'
I like it, not over chopped. Nice result
(5 years and 3295 days ago)nice find and a good capture.
