a little OOF unfortunately.
(5 years and 3346 days ago)Super job. I wowed the first time I saw this image, and now lucky me I get to wow again!!
(5 years and 3347 days ago)Looking a LOT better now! Nice
(5 years and 3347 days ago)If this was shot gy a guy, I can see why. No point focusing on the bride when there are three attractive bridesmaids to concentrate on. hehe :P
(5 years and 3347 days ago)Great capture, great contrast between the guy and the puppy, and a really good quality take. Well done!
(5 years and 3347 days ago)I know you can't do anything about it now, but I would have loved to see a closer and lower shot of these guys (ie looking up at them as you would a statue). That would also get rid of the noise of the tourists etc in the background. Still a nice find though.
(5 years and 3347 days ago)What an amazing idea, and really well done!
(5 years and 3347 days ago)I have a little girl around the same age, and let me just say I have seen that pose and facial expression many times before. It is absolute anger (and I like that you took the shot from far enough away not to get hit from a flying shoe) :P
(5 years and 3347 days ago)Really nice job, to keep the focus on a black phone in a dark B&W image is very well done. Great lighting and DOF!
(5 years and 3347 days ago)I've removed my original comment. I guess the use of the dragons could be within the guidelines - but I will not render an opinion. That's purely for the mods to decide.
(5 years and 3347 days ago)Either way, it is a nice final image so what you did chop you did well.
Wonderful job, I'm guessing a missed deadline for the last contest . Still I am very glad we have a mixed manip contest, just so we don't miss out on seeing wonderful pieces like this one!
(5 years and 3347 days ago)the word row is on the lisence plate - nice one :P
(5 years and 3347 days ago)Nice message. I would like to see the shadows reflect the change of direction of the text though. Might make it a little more convincing.
(5 years and 3348 days ago)Hey I never said stop lolin'. I am happy to read your comments and you often have a lot of positive things to say. I was just raising a reason why people might be giving you negative scores on your comments.
(5 years and 3351 days ago)Please continue to post your comments, but try not to make them take up 10-20 lines each (just go easy on the Enter key), ok?
Peace!
This would be a shoe-in for a 'picture of a picture of a ladybug' contest . Nice improvisation.
(5 years and 3351 days ago)maybe the person (which isn't me btw is giving you a thumbs down because all your comments take up a rediculous amount of space... yet rarely have a lot of substance to them...
(5 years and 3351 days ago)Are you sure this is a genuine colourisation... 'cos if it is, it's amazingly good!
(5 years and 3351 days ago)Edit: just saw the original colour version, and I think this is even better than the original photo, the slightly desaturated background work well. Awesome job!
That was just my thought too Ade :-P, you're just too good author.
(5 years and 3352 days ago)Those are some seriously wield looking trees! You should take a snap of them and suggest it as a source pic for a chop contest!
(5 years and 3353 days ago)Cool shot, like the gateway to heaven. Hope you werent waiting there too long for the sun to be in the right position!
(5 years and 3353 days ago)I think youve done a great job with the glass/ice effect. In my humble opinion the blue line adds nothing to the overall image though.
(5 years and 3353 days ago)Is it a street light, like for a rail crossing as seen through a car window?
(5 years and 3354 days ago)I love the contrast between the two halves of this shot. The sky on the right of the image is beautiful.
(5 years and 3354 days ago)I actually think the rough edge works very well in this shot. Nice capture
(5 years and 3354 days ago)Looove the bokeh. Seriously nice capture and DOF
(5 years and 3354 days ago)Who would have thought you could acheive such a great pic using only a clothes peg. The lighting and colours work really well. Great work.
(5 years and 3354 days ago)Great capture and overall scene. Great shot
(5 years and 3356 days ago)Nice shot, but don't you get tired of people telling you not to be so negative... ahahaha - you know its true when you become a dad your jokes really do become lame!
(5 years and 3357 days ago)hence the smiley face at the end of the comment...
(5 years and 3358 days ago)Personally I find South Park very relaxing, definitely one where you can completely switch your brain off! I like that you chose (assuming it is deliberate) a simple and easily recognisable image on the TV. Nice job
A very convincing blend, well done with the colour and lighting.
(5 years and 3358 days ago)Looks freak'n awesome, I've never actually seen one of these shots with such a long exposure. Beautiful work.
(5 years and 3358 days ago)Great job on this one, I love the thought behind it.
(5 years and 3358 days ago)Nice job, my only criticism is that the lion head looks like its balancing on its point on the ground and isn't too realistic. If you lay it flat on the ground and adjust the shadow accordingly it will look better. A few other fragments of broken plaster would also look good but that's a fair bit of work :P
(5 years and 3359 days ago)lol @ MossyB's comment. I have to agree though, the image looks a little too confused to me, a little like things have been added but with not a lot of thought as to the overall composition of the piece. The unicorn (as it is in the foreground) looks very undersized too.
(5 years and 3361 days ago)I'd suggest seeing what the image looks like without the paint brushes, and perhaps putting the unicorn at the end of the path as the object she is walking towards...
Have you tried cropping it so it cuts into the back/top of her head (to remove the basket)? I think this would help. I do like the HDR on this subject.
(5 years and 3361 days ago)Fantastic shot! And I hope you enjoyed the wine after so many takes! A drop of Wolfblass Shiraz if I'm not mistaken... :P
(5 years and 3361 days ago)This is just awesome work, great and imaginative use of the source, and a really well chopped piece of work!
(5 years and 3364 days ago)Youve used the long exposure to great effect here, the pink lighting really helps this pic stand out too. Nice work!
(5 years and 3366 days ago)This is a cool shot, a great example of how everyday objects can produce very artistic results.
(5 years and 3366 days ago)Nice job, though a high-res would be nice (as would paying tribute to the author of the chop that clearly inspired this one).
(5 years and 3371 days ago)What a great find, and really nice composition of the shot too. Top job.
(5 years and 3374 days ago)I actually picked what it was before the description (but only cos I knew it was a refraction I was looking at). This is really well done, and I like the more macro/abstract approach. Well done!
(5 years and 3374 days ago)Nice shot, my only suggestion would be to crop it a little tighter o the left to take that man out of shot.
(5 years and 3380 days ago)Wow! All credit to you, I actually looked at this image to start with and though 'so what, they've just stuck the shell on the roosters head...' That's how good a job you did on creating the chooks!
(5 years and 3381 days ago)All credit to you, this is a great piece of work.
This is real cool work, I wouldn't admit to not being able to get the lines smooth, I love the rougher finish and broken lines. There is just something about this one I love, high marks from me!
(5 years and 3382 days ago)So are you trying to say the white things we see behind the car are supposed to be like a transformers legs?
(5 years and 3382 days ago)There is a very strong source of light in this pic, so unfortunately the shadows on the bins don't quite fit on this image.
(5 years and 3385 days ago)I really like this shot, nice composition and well taken
(5 years and 3389 days ago)Definitely very shiny, and a great abstract composition too. Well done.
(5 years and 3390 days ago)I love this shot, we all knew who took this shot before voting . Truly awesome work as always!
