Have to comment on shots like these.
I really like the concept and the overall composition is good but the spoiler here is the Author in the center of the shot.
It unfortunately is very distracting from a otherwise great shot.
The trick with these kind of shots is to be self-obscure and not turn it into a "Selfie" I think finding another angle or perhaps positioning yourself near the surroundings would achieve your desired results.

This is a fantastic photograph, I really like the creativity in the set up. It looks very nice in black and white, the composition, exposure and focus are all well done. This is definitely one of my favorites in this contest.
