If I'm not mistaken that is a scan made from a photo ready to print and the border is crop marks. I may be wrong. I do love sepia tone photos.

An HR would have been nice. I think the theme match is more opinion, although I see adeincyprus has a point.

After you remove the border, tone down the contrast a bit. The highlights are a bit much. I'll come back and vote later.

agree, color levels and contrast way off...next time try making only slight adjustments and remember that less is sometimes more. Plus, if your monitor is not calibrated, what looks good to you may not look good on someone elses.
