I like the concept here, I think it could benefit from some good black and white processing though, perhaps add a bit of fill light then increase the contrast a bit?
(5 years and 2949 days ago)What a great shot, I love the grinder in the background. Have you given any thought about sharpening and adding a bit more contrast? With the wrinkled and stained skin I feel it could make the photo seem even more weathered, helping to narrate the story better. Just a thought though, the photo is great as it is. But like they say everything can be improved.
(5 years and 2949 days ago)What an interesting idea!
(5 years and 2949 days ago)I completely agree, I don't think using the true white balance would have been as appealing as this is.
(5 years and 2949 days ago)Oh i do enjoy this photo, the look of fear is well done. I don't know what a low depth of field would do for this shot though since most of the elements of the subject are on such close focal planes in relationship to one another.
(5 years and 2949 days ago)I love the blue hue that you have chosen for this, it's neat to see the effects an "incorrect" white balance can give.
(5 years and 2949 days ago)What a beautiful scene, I love the windswept shape of the icicles.
(5 years and 2949 days ago)A superbly processed HDR! There seems to be a bit of jpeg artifacts from the image compression when viewed in high-res mode but I don't see why that would affect any persons opinion of this photograph. The tones are perfectly exposed throughout the scene. Well done!
(5 years and 2949 days ago)What an odd thing tho find on a beach!
