I really like this shot. It reminds me of some film noire and/or some old horror films from the 20's and 30's. As far as the cropping idea goes, I'm not sure I'd crop the enitre set of bottom stairs out. It would have helped if the perspective was a tiny bit higher so we could see that first landing, then they wouldn't be so much of a "frame." I think I might crop out to the top of the lowest "bright stripe" and below, and leave the second dark stripe (from the bottom) and what's above it. Cool shot, though. Good luck.

I agree with friiskiwi also. You could always change it back if you do not like it.

The building IS still white, just a very very off-white. Its a wonderful shot but I think it would be improved upon if you boost the highlights a tiny bit and POSSIBLY take out some of the yellow (which should help bring back some of the white in the pillars). All the best!
