I do not know much about that method, but have heard that if done right it is safe and there is nothing wrong with it.

yes, I understand. Still a great old time photo. One year a farmer used their horse locally and I went out an took photos, and ever since I have wanted to try a similar shoot again.

It may also help to over expose the photo by a half stop or more, as this would help with the exposure of the main subject.

I like how you captured the motion with the horse's leg position and that you can clearly see the surrounding environment.

Overall technically correct, but the halter in the plane of focus is a little distracting as well as the framing could be improved.

I love the lighting. In my opinion this photo could be improved by more room on the left as the horse seem tight to the frame when the other has so much room.

I love this shot. Great exposure and framing. It is great how you framed both the horse and reflection.

The background is not that distracting, as you did a good job at have a narrow depth of field; however, the image may have been improve by shooting more on the horses eye level.

I really like this shoot, but agree that having the horse off center may have helped the photo. You have a nice leading line with the fence that could have been better taken advantage of if you framed the image so the fence was in each corner. But I know these shots are fast, and you did a great job.

is his head really that big or is is a wide angle lens? If it is a distortion, I thing it adds to the images. I love the big puppy dog eyes. Wish the focus was a little better.

Very cute. Wish you could have got a little more light in his eyes. They look like black orbs, makes me think of the quotes they say about whale eyes.

For what reason? The colors would pop with a better exposure. Right now the bottom right corner is the brightest, thus it pull my eyes from the vase and flowers.

I like the concepts. However I would say the image is a little underexposed. Snow is hard because it overwhelms the camera exposure, so you have to use exposure compensation.

I love this picture and dog. Although the black in the background is a little distracting, but it is nice that you have rim lighting on the ears. I would like to see the ears have a little more light, mostly his left one is too dark.
