(5 years and 2891 days ago)This is really nice, but can I suggest that you darken the shadows inside the letters? They look a bit hollow right now. Great job, author!
(5 years and 3210 days ago)This is fantastic! Was the depth of field rendered or added in afterwards?
(5 years and 3215 days ago)hmm... i think you've used the wrong background then... might be better to show it in situ. also you might want to think about the type of base you've given it... because it looks like a suction cup... ???? EDIT... or a bar stool base... If you want to keep the base I think you ought to show some bolts or something fixing it to the ground...
(5 years and 3335 days ago)WMD don't have to be huge!... you just expect them to be huge... most weapons are huge because they have to be fired (missles etc) so all that is housed within including the payload... the actual destructive element inside that weapon can fit inside a matchbox.
(5 years and 3337 days ago)I personally liked the idea of a table top WMD (it looks like a suction pad am I right??)... the idea of a small weapon with tremendous destructive capability appeals to me more than a large one... but that's just me!
GL though
I think it's great and all. It's just that a WMD is meant to have some size to it. I think that the wood pannels that it's standing on makes it look quite small. But thats just IMO. Other than that, great work!
(5 years and 3342 days ago)Impressive Looking killer machine ... THis really impresses me, but if there is one thing i would like to change, I would like to see the "specularity " (i dont know if there is a word like this) of the arrow design toned a bit down.. With the hdr, its too reflective for my taste.. again, its just my taste.. .. good luck author
(5 years and 3342 days ago)hopefully......good luck
(5 years and 3494 days ago)nice effort.good luck.
(5 years and 3495 days ago)The solar flares still look extremely unconvincing, if you can't make them look more realistic, maybe remove them all together and simply have the capsule and the sun.
(5 years and 3495 days ago)nice idea , gl author
(5 years and 3497 days ago)I would agree to the fact of giving a bit motion blur to the capsule...Also the opacity is kept higher for the stars is better as it gives a feel of DOF of the capsule and the stars and sun...Overall a nice effort.....
(5 years and 3497 days ago)I like it! I think it's pretty good! Nice job!
(5 years and 3499 days ago)To make it look more realistic, I would add some motion blur to the capsule (not too much though or you would distort the capsule too much)
(5 years and 3500 days ago)I confess I don't really understand this. I completely agree with ponti55, however. I would also observe that your gray additions to the pill assume that it's a cylindrical sausage when in fact it has a much more interesting shape with a flat band encircling it. A solar flare or two on the right side of the sun might add some balance.
(5 years and 3500 days ago)I like the idea, but i feel like the whole image could;ve been executed a little better. You could try smaller stars at full opacity, and also try experimenting with different colours and blend modes for the solar flares. Good luck!
(5 years and 3500 days ago)Congrats!!
(5 years and 3540 days ago)Congrats for your third place, Toca!
(5 years and 3541 days ago)Very nice job Author......G/L.
(5 years and 3542 days ago)lol, sweet
(5 years and 3542 days ago)nice, but i'd like to see his 'face' a bit clearer
(5 years and 3542 days ago)Author this is amazing creativity....Great expressions of the smiley......Great blend and composition....Everything in the image is beautiful....Superb....GL..
(5 years and 3543 days ago)great
(5 years and 3543 days ago)haha nice, full of emotions
(5 years and 3545 days ago)coooooooooooooooooooooooooool
(5 years and 3546 days ago)yeap, sorry to say it again after dka. the gun machine reflection on the red smiley look very bad for a good work like that. good luck and take it easy with reflections for the future.
(5 years and 3548 days ago)awesome
(5 years and 3550 days ago)Author, I see you point with the plastic effect.
(5 years and 3551 days ago)But if you want to imitate a plastic surface, you should probably make it less glossy, but make it equally specular and reflective.
With the current reflection and glossiness it looks more like porcelain. But porcelain looks good too of course (with lower reflections).
very good idea! nice
(5 years and 3552 days ago)Very creative I must say. I would never had come up with that idea.
(5 years and 3553 days ago)I like everything but the smileys texturing. That poor dude is so abused with reflections that he almost looks hollow. The lighting could also have been better, it makes old school ray traced sharp shadows. It may look better with softer, global illuminated shadows.
(The SBS on the other hand doesn't say very much. It doesn't really show how you modeled the objects and the work progress at all. It will probably not help very much if someone wants to learn from your entry)
Great guitar
(5 years and 3553 days ago)yes fantastic
(5 years and 3553 days ago)try adding a guitar stand...and change the textures and lighthing...it looks kinda flat..the reflection on the amp is pretty decent though..
(5 years and 3556 days ago)Well a good effort but i doesnt look pretty much like a toy....
(5 years and 3556 days ago)Good one......
(5 years and 3556 days ago)nice
