Sorry locksmagic, have to disagree with you on this one...a "one of a kind" uniform is a costume. a uniform is designed for "uniformity" and therefor worn by many and is standardized for the issuing agency...I worked with people in the parks and entertainment sector and even they call it "in costume" and not "in uniform".

appears to be sitting on the flower and NOT in flight...IMO appears off topic

"burning" the edges is resulting in a "vignette" and is against the guidelines for submissions...I suggest you enter another w/o the burnt edges to avoid having your entry removed by the Mod's...a great concept, but avoid vignetting or selective editing at all costs...

The background color is much better now, but, you have a very harsh shadow from the flash in the photo...in the future, to lessen the shadow and have a stronger photo, move the subject further from the background and you will get a softer or sometimes non-existent shadow. for small things such as this, a meter or so from the background will do the trick, also a bonus, the shallow dof will blur the background and you will get the result you are looking for, a nice clear subject on a subdued backdrop

Wow...I'm really torn here...great focus and detail, wonderful shot but the focus does stray from the moss which the contest is really about...

Sorry author, but have to agree w/ DML here, although there is some lichens on the branch, what you have focused on and made the subject is a type of fungus or mushroom...
