nicely done author. the motion blur all around the single family gives a sense of 'confusion' here...i like this
(5 years and 3089 days ago)Well done author to have an 11 shot pano of moving subjects and stitched together so well...impressive.
(5 years and 3089 days ago)Great story shot, nicely done author!
(5 years and 3089 days ago)nicely done, agree, the lighting is very interesting here
(5 years and 3089 days ago)Very well done author, great comp and tones. The shot is also telling, it feels there is a story, or something about to happen.
(5 years and 3089 days ago)That's great...I want one too! LOL...nice find author
(5 years and 3089 days ago)Nice find and well shot, GL author
(5 years and 3089 days ago)IMHO, not very candid if he's looking into the camera and 'posing'?
(5 years and 3089 days ago)Nice set-up, included a person, but kept the focus of the shot completely where it's supposed to be, on the tea...well done author!
(5 years and 3089 days ago)Nice work..good execution my friend...LOL
(5 years and 3090 days ago)Nice angle, I bet this would look great as an HDR with all the color and tone...good comp too, well done
(5 years and 3090 days ago)LOL...yea, sure appears like that. Nice work author. Wonderful idea.
(5 years and 3093 days ago)I havent seen a metal slinky in forever...been trying to find one. Nice lighting author. well done
(5 years and 3093 days ago)Nice capture, your persistence certainly paid off.
(5 years and 3093 days ago)Very Nice work author, wonderfully sharp image, just a minor suggestion? The minor keystone effect of the wide angle on the walls of the building...maybe just a tad of pulling them to straight angles? (but that's just splitting hairs) All-in-all, a superb HDR
(5 years and 3093 days ago)Nicely done author, I tend to enjoy the more natural looking HDR's for most nature settings. Well balanced
(5 years and 3093 days ago)This shot is the "cat's meow"....LOL, nicely done author. I just tried something like this, but the darn animal kept moving too much.
(5 years and 3093 days ago)I Agree, nice set up and execution. well done author
(5 years and 3093 days ago)Author, not a bad job for learning. Very nice attempt. I see by your SBS, shot 2 and shot 3 look identical. In strong sun, try a properly exposed image, 2 stops under and only 1 stop over...might work a bit better to keep highlights from blowing out and get better shadow detail. Good Luck
(5 years and 3093 days ago)Author, just a suggestion, to make it more abstract, I recommend cropping out the bottom part of the handle to get just a smooth flow of the wire and make it less recognizable. The curving lines of the wire leading to the top may look better.
(5 years and 3094 days ago)Author, very fine set-up and the sepia adds to the effect, but the image appears to suffer from a bit of over-sharpening, resulting in a great deal of Jpeg artifacts. All-in-all, a very nice job in a hard contest...Bravo
(5 years and 3100 days ago)Author, to get rid of the vignette, try shortening the tube a bit to allow more of the image to fall on the sensor. Also, take sandpaper (very fine) to hone the edges of the tube at the cut-off end. It appears your 'lens' or hole is very jagged...try re doing the hole with a fine sewing needle very carefully as irregularities will result in poor focus...GL
(5 years and 3100 days ago)By the Hi Rez, it actually appears to be contacts as the girls iris's are all different colors...
(5 years and 3100 days ago)By your SBS author...I see the focus problem here, Nice attempt, but there is either too much material making the hole deeper than it needs to be, or the hole is entirely too large. A very tiny hole increases the DOF to nearly infinity by giving an effective f/stop of about f/88-f/176
(5 years and 3100 days ago)Author, you CAN fix the title if you wish, go to (my stuff)>(my contest entries) and hit (edit image) then just fix the misspelling...otherwise, a nicely done shot...
(5 years and 3100 days ago)@ kyricom....LOL...
Beautiful....nicely done
(5 years and 3100 days ago)Sorry Author, I have to agree with the above statements...the entire right side is out of focus, given the title "Green", one would anticipate the focus to either be on the green, or lead to it. Given the leading lines created by the skew of the bricks and the DOF clearly focused on the left of the image, it leads the viewers eyes not to the green, but off the image to the left...
(5 years and 3100 days ago)Bravo...nicely done author. It's the mothers legs in the BG that make this an outstanding image.
(5 years and 3100 days ago)It's for certain NOT attached to anything...too funny
(5 years and 3100 days ago)Very cute! Nice theme here
(5 years and 3103 days ago)Author: as per the contest goal: In this contest your goal is to capture a closeup of your favorite bodypart. Others can guess what body part is in your photo, so don't mention it in your title
(5 years and 3103 days ago)I would change the title, or you risk having it removed...
Nice...love the BG on this, most people just shoot the fireworks, you have choosen to include the entire scene...well done author
(5 years and 3103 days ago)Nice job author, you have them guessing! well done...
(5 years and 3103 days ago)Finally!!!! one of the few entries that ACTUALLY FITS the contest theme! Well done author...
(5 years and 3103 days ago)Others can guess what body part is in your photo, so don't mention it in your title or description
(5 years and 3103 days ago)Others can guess what body part is in your photo, so don't mention it in your title or description
(5 years and 3103 days ago)Nicely done author, sharp and crisp shot....great composition
(5 years and 3160 days ago)Author, you may want to increase the saturation and contrast on this image...it's appearing VERY washed out and flat...not your typical high quality work...sorry
(5 years and 3165 days ago)Actually I believe fiber optics work by a light source underneath and the normally "clear" fibers take on the character of the light transmitted through them...the fibers only appear to glow and are not technically in and of themselves a light source.
(5 years and 3171 days ago)nice image author...perhaps a minor levels adjustment to blacken the shadows more might add to the dramatic effect of the shot...
(5 years and 3174 days ago)Author, the rim-lighting is superb...great set-up and location, just need a hint of spot-lighting on the face to make this BAM! magazine worthy...sincerely great job
(5 years and 3176 days ago)Appears more orange than yellow now...nicely done
(5 years and 3176 days ago)interesting find author...would love to know as to why all these keys are hung on a fence...
(5 years and 3191 days ago)Did someone get caught "Chimping"??? LOL
(5 years and 3197 days ago)Ok...last point here and I'm finished....we exhibit our dead all over the world. Stalin still resides (to the best of my knowledge) in a glass coffin on public display, museums, teaching facilities and schools all display dead humans in various forms (skeletons, as well as preserved specimens). A similar image to this is in my daughters bio textbook (7th grade)...perhaps I'm insensitive, perhaps just a realist...
(5 years and 3221 days ago)The Vatican and the Catholic Church also has had the dead bodies of Sainted persons on public display...
The author chose to tastefully and artfully incorporate the source image.
Driven...the coffin view photos were OFTEN published in local papers...
(5 years and 3221 days ago)WOW....Just Wow....what a neat image and final result....as for the source, it appears to be a medical study specimen or something similar, it happens. no matter where you find some sources, someone, somewhere is likely to be sensitive to it...but the final result would have not been as good with a 'sleeping' baby IMHO.
(5 years and 3221 days ago)As far as having family images taken from the coffin as it were....this was an extremely popular type of photography at the turn of the last century and was a sign of respect and a final image to many families...as a photographer, i have done bereavement photography also...
Yes author...this challenge is MUCH harder than it appears on the surface...automated software will not recognize an "outside" panorama....
(5 years and 3227 days ago)Nicely done....great tones and depth author
(5 years and 3241 days ago)Wow....with the exception of a bit of noise...just WOW!
