Very European, you image takes us to another "time" and another world ! Lovely.
(5 years and 552 days ago)A field and a forest combo, how clever. Nice and sharp with good tonal ranges.
(5 years and 552 days ago)I like the way this leads the eye into the image and you have a good gray tonality (from black to white and much in between). Nice.
(5 years and 552 days ago)I like this shot because it is a no-nonsense shot, it's honest. It presents with a comfortable view, nice marginal space all round and good focus. YUM
(5 years and 552 days ago)hehehe.. my eyes are bouncing around like popcorn! good Luck!
(5 years and 552 days ago)Very creative. Must be a tactical high intensity light on the bat.
(5 years and 553 days ago)woot!
(5 years and 553 days ago)I understand how you feel but you have to recognize you are no slouch when it comes to photography. You can say easily what you like: I like this....and that and you can easily and diplomatically say...."your photo is good but .....I feel it would be better if...."
(5 years and 553 days ago)Sometimes you will get snarky responses but most times one can actually find a nice human quality in every person on this site.
Go, ahead, bite the bullet and tell us what touches your heart and what doesn't and why. I for one would really appreciate more in-depth reviews by members.
As for worrying about English.....phssshhhhhaaawwwwww.....mine ain't perfect for that matter!
Well, frankly speaking, I admire your talent as a photographer (and you already know how I feel about your photoshop skills which I've raved about since I got to know you). There is nothing wrong with your English, nothing at all and sometimes I hunger to hear from members to learn why my photo came in last ....why why why did everyone hate it when I loved it so? Please don't be shy to add a comment on how to improve....I may not agree with you but will appreciate you commenting.
(5 years and 553 days ago)Comments whether they glow or constructively critique help not only the photographer who took the image but also the reviewer. It is a double-edged sword and this site would be made richer if more people added their two cents worth, don't you agree?
(5 years and 554 days ago)So many things to like about your upload. The message is heard and seen (titles do matter). The fact that this is almost monochrome yet the bread is the only coloured aspect of this image really lets us focus on the bread. Also you have it with a bias towards dark and shadows so it whispers to you instead of screaming at you. The focus is on the bread . This is an image that shows us you worked on it and created a photograph, not just a happy snap. My dad who lived through the Second World war and got out of a "camp" always used to say to me "when you have bread you have no hunger". That is what you image says to me. A very well composed piece giving bread the nobility it deserves. Kudos.
(5 years and 555 days ago)Me thinks you will owe me another chocolate fudge sundae !
(5 years and 556 days ago)This photo makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. I love how you caught the essence of Easter with these breads. I wonder if this image would have been even stronger with the "shmata" cropped down and a nip at the left.....themz my two cents worth.
(5 years and 556 days ago)I looked it up on youtube (but had to mute the woman) I learn something new from you every time! THANK YOU.
(5 years and 556 days ago)Thanks

(5 years and 557 days ago)Dynamite.
(5 years and 559 days ago)My big thing was just put a black disk under each foot and then GAUSS blur the crap out of it to balance.. babble babble.. you can adjust percent to match the balance.. yadda yadda yadda... hehehe... Once again.. it's a perspective to the individual... hehehe
(5 years and 560 days ago)You can go a shade darker, just make sure you stay super close to the paws then match the darkness along the edge of the pavement and that will bring the puppy to ground. Oh hells bells, it looks great and I suck at explaining stuff... hehehe .. the trick to grounding is getting the edge of the subject (in this case the puppy paws) to match shade darkness with the background (in this case the pavement)... I always think about how car tires look like they are stuck to the road because the edge of the tire is the same shade/color as the road.. (oh lord do I babble)
(5 years and 560 days ago)He's a bit "floaty"... some stabilization shadows might help to "ground" him better... other than that, he's a hunky duder
(5 years and 561 days ago)A Flying Turkey !!! :P
