You are right. I checked again in hi res....it is fine.
(5 years and 563 days ago)I like the low pov on this image but it is soft through all planes. Your horizontal cut is perfect giving a lot of story to the foreground which pops with colour. The earth is waking up.
(5 years and 563 days ago)I wonder what your aperture was for this shot as it is a bit soft. There is that viaduct in the distance. A pretty place indeed.
(5 years and 563 days ago)Very subtle line and makes this look like one photo, but yet that line is there. Great and thank you for inspirational photo upload.
(5 years and 564 days ago)Wow how wonderfully vast is this image and one could do a lot of walking on a sunny day. I think if you had followed the horizontal cut rule of photography you would have a stronger photograph with more impact on the dunes. Cutting an image in half like that makes it a little less exciting visually....however, rules are for fools as they say and this may have been your artistic choice. A bit more contrast would have highlighted the dunes...the bends and shadows. I like the gentle pastel colour palette....a gentle photograph. Very nice.
(5 years and 564 days ago)Congrats
(5 years and 564 days ago)Congratulation for firsdt place
(5 years and 564 days ago)A bit of an illusory feel to this with the one lens being on a different level and looking larger. Nice with the other glasses in the background as a back up singer for the photo.
(5 years and 564 days ago)Hey, I'm traveling in a country where women still carry wood on their heads and tea sacks on their head as well.
(5 years and 564 days ago)Maybe the second one will taste better
(5 years and 564 days ago)Thanks for that....appreciate your talking to me.
(5 years and 564 days ago)Bless you. How do they get potatoes to the city nowadays? I also like the balanced feel to this photo...the sky and the pond.
(5 years and 565 days ago)Bruce Jenner.
(5 years and 565 days ago)I like how this image "whispers" spring with a few pops of colour. Is it level though? Check that bridge in the background it looks slanted to the right a touch. This photo leaves me with a feeling of wanting to be there, to breathe in the fresh air....looks like nature is waking up. Delightful.
(5 years and 565 days ago)Much appreciated Sylvie, it was great, just what my diet needed. Merci!
(5 years and 565 days ago)EGADS what an imagination. Wonderful.
(5 years and 565 days ago)ha ha ha ha ha ha betcha that sauce tastes like "you know what"! What an imagination and I love it. THANK YOU
(5 years and 565 days ago)Congrats for both photos
(5 years and 566 days ago)Congrats for winning Sylvie,no crying now though
(5 years and 566 days ago)Congratulations Sylvie. Nice one.
(5 years and 566 days ago)Congrats again...Sylvie
(5 years and 566 days ago)Congrats Sylvie....I really liked this one.
(5 years and 566 days ago)Congrats again Sylvie, nice shot
(5 years and 566 days ago)Congrats Sylvie 1 & 2, terrific shots both
(5 years and 566 days ago)The floral arrangement looks pasted on but the idea is superb.
(5 years and 567 days ago)For my eyes there is too much meat and not enough potatoes! By that I mean it is difficult to focus, but that is just me.
(5 years and 567 days ago)Well done, I like it. REalistic shadow and light. You are creative + + + + + + and when I grow up I want to be like you.
(5 years and 567 days ago).......aussi ici
(5 years and 568 days ago)beautiful shot here....
(5 years and 568 days ago)Clarity is very good, nicely composed and I like the monochrome. Great upload
(5 years and 568 days ago)..........and I even looked up the link, can you believe that?!
(5 years and 568 days ago)I really am drawn to the colour palette of this entry.
(5 years and 568 days ago)It's neither. It's just how the source photo was. I'm just sensitive to stuff like that is all.
(5 years and 568 days ago)I can see that. Men get grumpy when they are hungry.
(5 years and 568 days ago)Well done and where in heavens did you get those glasses. Love the dof manipulation.
(5 years and 568 days ago)Haha...!! good one.
(5 years and 568 days ago)Denlig, I thought you were joking and once again I broke out laughing. Then I checked with Uncle Google who is omniscient and now I'm really confused....you were right on. The Dipteran syrphids hover and this beast was not mind you this is a variable family. Genus Eristalsis (sounds like peristalsis) are also known as the West Palaeartctic and do resemble the humble bumble bee. See, I was almost right, but almost doesn't cut it.
(5 years and 570 days ago)Nice work Z!!
(5 years and 571 days ago)Nice job my sister. You are on a roll. You go girl!!
(5 years and 571 days ago)You see, the lady rhinos don't like sharp horns on the babies when they are giving birth. It's a bit uncomfortable for them.
(5 years and 571 days ago)He looks so peaceful in your source image but he looks spooky in your chop. Haha.
(5 years and 571 days ago)That depth of field is freaking me out and making me dizzy. l'd suggest some shadowing under the water. Your source image didn't have any because the bulb was clear.
(5 years and 571 days ago)Sorry to contradict you but this "bee" is not one! I think it is rather a dipteran of the family of syrphids of the genus Eristalis tenax or Eristalis arbustorum. It's difficult to differentiate them from this angle
(5 years and 571 days ago)I think you may be right about that.
(5 years and 571 days ago)Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh and thank you for dedicating this image to me
(5 years and 571 days ago)I typed in "little yellow field flowers growing in France"....boy you sure have a lot of little yellow flowers growing !
(5 years and 571 days ago)I think this is:
Ragwort
Ragwort is a slow killer, and in many cases you won’t know your horse has eaten it until too late. It is common in pastures, growing up to 2 metres high when it flowers. It is instantly recognisable due to its bright yellow flowers. If a horse ingests it, it will gradually start to destroy the liver. A poisoned horse will lose weight despite eating normally, get extreme sunburn, go blind and eventually collapse if it isn’t caught early. The only way to protect your horse is to remove the weed completely from your field. Pull it up by the roots and burn the plant, so no pollen can spread. It is a resilient plant, and will nearly always grow back and spread to other pastures.
I know you are happy to have pretentious horse and not a live one. Am I right about the name?
Now that beast sitting there is a plain and humble bee, I didn't have to ask Uncle Google coz I know....
He's not a carpenter bee coz they are big and black but a plain old ordinary bee and I like this photo very much especially because his eyes are sharp "like a woman's tongue". The colours natural and this is an artistic upload.
At our photo club we have had great long discussions on amputating the body as you have....some like it some don't ....I LOVE IT as it adds to the story and that one eye showing is creepy as is that clenched fist. Enjoyable entry to review and study, thank you.
(5 years and 571 days ago)I like the foreboding lines in this upload. The strong lines, soft and artistic give a feel that this is a painting. The eyecatch adds a surreal and mysterious touch. The title marries well with the photo. We feel a sense of BEWARE with this image.
(5 years and 571 days ago)I know you didn't want to but cranking up the saturation would have added more dynamic sparkle to these oysters which do have some lovely colouring showing through as is. I like that full frame presentation, it's great. YUM
(5 years and 571 days ago)Nice, now if you win you are taking me out for a hot chocolate fudge sundae....deal?
