Photoshop has a smudge tool. It is a feature of the blur tool. The rat looks much better now.

Author, you don't understand what we're talking about. Again, look at the edges of your white rat and compare with the source. You can use a fine smudge brush to pull (drag) small hairs out from the fur to simulate those in the original.

This is a great idea and effort. I have to say the white rat looks "wetter" in the original source though. A Fine (small sized) smudge brush would be in order for the "White Rat indeed". Good luck and have fun.

Ahhhh ha I saw your reflection in the perfume top, saw the classy perfume and put two and two together and I was RIGHT. It is you! Great shot that tells us a lot about the photographer and her 'aristocratic' sensibilities..."mon diue". Love the colours too, muted maroon and gold. Very nice post and I'm so happy I guessed you correctly.

We have many members from Europe, so it could be anyone's. The reason I ask was that I was out photographing mushrooms today and my friend said that we had more species here than anywhere else, and I remembered your photo.
We got lots of lovely photos, but most of our mushrooms were tiny, and none edible ( I believe)

Whenever I see a package of donuts I always wonder how many packages I could eat all at once. I love this guilty pleasure, donuts are a favourite of many. I do think that the cartoon of Mr. Simpson takes front and center stage and the "guilty pleasures" are the back up chorus. Your image is clear and sharp and taken close up without background distractions. YUM

I'm interested in entomology, I've never seen this little critter, which I have found out is a springtail. Can you give me some info please, for starters how big is it??? It looks very very small.

I really appreciate the description you have given to further flush out the story, so thank you very much. A nicely framed image, framed by the same rocks / bricks that one can see beyond and this gives a wonderful homogenous feel to your upload. Technically your dof is perfect rendering sharpness throughout the planes of the photograph. The lead lines further pull us into the shot and your colour palette is natural. Just wonderful. I love these contests which I can't seem to do but I get inspired by your posts.

A very nice macro shot of a rather handsome fellow. The bokeh is perfect not only in blurriness but also the colour palette is exquisite. Those two eyes poking out discombobulate me for there is one big eye looking forward. The image is sharp on the eyes and the detail is nicely seen. Good control of your dof.
