(5 years and 966 days ago)Heartwarming, melted my heart. Packed with emotive power...kabang!
(5 years and 966 days ago)Excellent !
(5 years and 966 days ago)Super entry. Very impressive piece of work.
(5 years and 968 days ago)The perfect animal for this contest!
(5 years and 968 days ago)I'm jealous that I couldn't think of that one. Btw: I absolutely love it!
Clever. And a great excuse to pay with Legos. Nicely positioned with good blending of color. I'm really glad you left this soft. Stark detail would have ruined the mood.
(5 years and 968 days ago)I really like the clarity of this upload and the environmental portrait of this vendor. You have a lot of information in the image to give a solid story. The photograph is sharp, well exposed with good tonal ranges throughout. A very solid entry.
(5 years and 969 days ago)Somebody needs to ask, so it might as well be me. Is this one of the spice girls? This was a great idea and well executed. Wish I had thought of it.
(5 years and 969 days ago)You really got me thinking on this one. I'm trying to decide whether or not the blue sky takes away from your excellent coloration of the ocean. If the sky were all gray, the horizon might be overly sharp. I'll like to see what would happen if you had the sky gray with the exception of the marine layer, leaving that in a subdued blue. Any picture that makes me think that long is a success!
(5 years and 969 days ago)I usually think of this technique as highlighting something within the picture. You have taken this to an unexpected level by essentially creating a frame using the color. Most effective!
(5 years and 969 days ago)What a great contest where we get to meet 'face to face'...well sort of. I really like your creative aspect of this upload. The colour palette is cool and shivery and the venetian blinds give that shiver feeling. Seems to me you knew what you were doing with that Nikon to give a different, yet quite appealing self portrait.
(5 years and 970 days ago)Lovely with the focus on the pretty young girl caught in the rule of 3's, she stands out. The spices provide a nice secondary focal point. Your photograph is sharp on the girl, softness on the spices. Together they make up a story of sugar and spice and all things nice!
(5 years and 970 days ago)Congrats Sylvie!!
(5 years and 970 days ago)Ha ha. Your description is starting to sound like the song! I just hope we never get a contest about the red queen...
(5 years and 971 days ago)Good explanation. Makes sense.
(5 years and 971 days ago)Congratulations Zizounai
(5 years and 971 days ago)Congrats! Very well done.
(5 years and 971 days ago)What a hysterical photo! The white of the rabbit stands out in stark contract to the colorful dress. I'd like to see a little more definition of the rabbit...one of the disadvantages of a shot that is straight on. That said, I admire that you stopped her to ask for the picture.
(5 years and 971 days ago)My first reaction was wondering what this would have looked like in color. You capture the flurry of activity well but I keep getting distracted by the foliage. Perhaps cropping the top a bit?
(5 years and 971 days ago)congrats real good photo
(5 years and 971 days ago)Correct but transgender is world wide. Hey, some of the katoeys put women to shame , you just can't tell sometimes. There is a joke among the old geezer white men in Thailand and they say "I try to never date a girl who has a penis larger than mine".....groan.
(5 years and 971 days ago)Hope she is a girl and not a katoey.
(5 years and 971 days ago)Hope she is happy, at least happier than she is on the photo.
(5 years and 971 days ago)I love the clarity of this photo and the serious mood of this bride and her attendants. Nice and sharp and it makes me want to know more.
(5 years and 971 days ago)Looks to me like a first place hedgehog! Hey first and last keeps us humble.
(5 years and 971 days ago)Congrats for first place !

(5 years and 972 days ago)EEEKKKKK!!!
(5 years and 972 days ago)Bwhaa haa haa haaa!
(5 years and 972 days ago)Ahhh I see, yes it's cleaner. Sometimes borders hold the image in for a reason so then it is a good thing to use them.
(5 years and 972 days ago)Holy Guacamole, this is MY phobia, which I have worked at trying to overcome. I love the depth of your post, the story of life and death. It is a well composed image with plenty of marginal space all around. You have exposed it exquisitely, no blow outs on the white. The detail can been seen, not only on the underbody of "lunch" but on that grizzly spider. Yes, on this side of the planet, not only are his eyes sharp but they are a hideous yellow clearly seen. You have used your dof wisely, his body softens. In photography, if the eyes are sharp all other sins are forgiven. Top notch work in my book. I am not liking the border, but that is just me, I have difficulty with borders, never quite know if I like them or not. Here with your border it seems to be a distraction from the main subjects, almost like a straw that is in the way, it doesn't work....however, I bow to artistic prerogative and honor yours.
(5 years and 973 days ago)I have looked hard at your margins to see if you have bleeding of other colours, and not a drop! Good work, and a lot of it. I am also drawn to the faces staring out in dead white and how nicely this image looks with the blue frame.
(5 years and 973 days ago)dat's a lotta fun!!!
(5 years and 973 days ago)WHHHHOOOAAAAAA thank you for that link. I just looked and Bucharest is just so full of stunning buildings and so much history, it is full of surprises that is why we are talking about going back there possibly next spring.
