The bud is nice and sharp, but the proximity of the other stalks in the background seemed to take away some of the power of the image.

Luscious! I especially like how you got elements of the trunk in the picture.

Gosh this one does feel like spring. You have some that have bloomed and some waiting in the wings to bloom, the stages of "birth" have been well shown. Are you shooting in A mode or M? Time to bite the bullet and shoot in manual you will have more creative power like being able to eliminate blow outs.

Sweet. Just today on a bus I saw a young mother with her 3 month old baby and she was kissing her child's hand, so your image brought out an emotion from me and it was Tolstoy who said that if an image brings out an emotion , then art has been created. I do see that the focus is soft and does it really matter for the subject is soft...a new baby. Personally, I would have preferred the image to be sharper and stronger.

What a difficult photo this was to take. You do not have overexposure on the white showing us that you understand your exposure calibrations. The hopper is prominent, the colours natural and the compositional style excellent. It looks to me like he was there waiting for you and your camera.

You do have a bit of a lean and it is irrelevant because the entire focus is on that handsome brute of a gander. You have done well with the dof and the other chickens in the background only give a soft whisper of presence. I like this, the exposure on the gander is perfect as is the sharpness. The border does not scream out at me and compliments the photo in feminine softness.

Great texture on this laughing gargoyle and you have captured that so well. I also think your compositional style is perfect. I am lukewarm about the border, but I have problems with borders, never know if I like them or not. I do think a darker smaller border would have been better and would not have robbed the image of it's beauty but this is your artistic license, so I bow to it..

I like your smart usage of dof which makes the photograph exciting and gives it depth. It is crispy clear at the front and the colours are cold and reflections make this glitter. A very nice entry.

Like this one a lot. The lighting is excellent as is your exposure and focus is spot on. Your POV also adds strength to this shot. Did you know this flower is the national flower of Nepal and you can eat the blooms. The blooms soothe stomach aches and taste lemony. Good to know, huh )

What I find delightful about this image is that is whispers to us in muted shades of colours, it doesn't scream. It feels like a prayer. To fill the entire frame with prayer flags was the way to go as the patterns tickle us visually.

Yes, I like it this way and glad you left some gray in there. Please remember that you are the one who has to like it, you have to take what reviewers tell you with a grain of salt. Your photo has to feel right for you. I forgot to tell you this but it also feels quite balanced and steady too even with a centered composition like that...nice. Are you planning on going back there anytime soon?

Right angles, diagonals, stripes, cool blues, lavenders and a pop of warmth in that honey coloured square. What is there not to like about this eye tangling piece all seen through the diffusion of a screen. Ahhh you do need photographer's eyes to have seen this and shot it as squarely and finely as you have. Grrreat.
