Have you tried just drawing a black disk under the object you want to ground? Just blur and fade to the right shade, it's much easier than dodge and burn and you only have to deal with that layer and not the shades of the existing photo that contains the shadow. You may know that already (I'm not really good at Photoshop, I just fake it really good ) When you've got the proper shape (warp/scale/distort) you can change the opacity on the disk which is much easier than dodge.. well for me anyway. Then I just touch up the main object with burn where it's needed. ACK! I shouldn't be teaching.. I suck at photoshop and there could be a beating... hehehe.. good luck.. (Just suggesting)

(5 years and 1165 days ago)So very very sweet, You may want to stabilize some of the rats with grounding shadows.. they look a tad floaty.. not a big whoop, but it will help in the scoring. A little more smudge/blur on the tail's edges (kitty cat) might help in eliminating the "cutout" feel. Only suggestions and just my opinion. The overall creation is just adorable
(5 years and 1165 days ago)Even as moderators, we can not see the Exif, and some people were confused by your link. I just wanted to clarify.

(5 years and 1167 days ago)no riddle... just that Perfect Day was the song from Trainspotting as well as the Velvet Underground's opus to the lead singer's addiction, thus me "hinting" you may have been high when you made this... JUST KIDDING of course

(5 years and 1167 days ago)Author, the lion image you have used is under a no derivative license and can not be used. The symbol for no derivative is the = inside a circle.

(5 years and 1173 days ago)Very nice tone & texture.
(5 years and 1174 days ago)Really love the colors and the shine through is a neat approach. Good luck author
(5 years and 1174 days ago)This is really great author, though I'm a little confused why you manipulated out the holding prongs along with the background on the tray. It is only my opinion, so take it for what it's worth, great job on this, but I think if you include the items you chopped out it would really add to the overall feel. I'm all for symmetry but in this case, I think it does a disservice to the creation. Again.. IMHO, (really good job and good luck!)
(5 years and 1174 days ago)Kind of a perfect blend... great merge!
