just how do you beat a shot like this.................

the only thing that could do with fixing, imo, is the horizon. It either needs to be fashionably angled, or straight........just my opinion of course.........I still like the shot...

I think this is more 'motion blur' than defocus..........good capture though.

difficult to determine.........there are elements that are oof, and there are other elements that are affected only by the zoom.......and because of this, nothing is really in focus as such.....

for it to be a texture, it has to have a 'feel' to it, smoke has no feel as such!

They are called 'Hang Drums'............they originate, I believe, from Switzerland...........A good capture, it would be a great shot for a 'street' contest.

no, the highlight is not too big a deal,but it is a fault in the shot as a technical issue, which is what I also look at! I don't just look at a shot and decide if it is 'nice'.......if there is a technical issue, then I will make comment, or else the author, who may be new to the game, may never learn!!.........no offense to you author.....

I like the shot, but it is difficult to see the pain..........in this case, it could have been just a little lighter.....
