Really have to say that I love the blending of arm through the clouds. Perhaps take a bit of 'coolness' blue color out of the arm below the clouds to allow the flesh to be warmer from the 'sunlight'. Nice job.

Nice idea, but I recommend to have a closer look at the masking of the girl/angel. The edges can do with some softer and more subtle edges here and there. Good luck!

PS: I'd also offset the star cluster in the background so it's not right at the top of the wing. Author, with some tweaks this could be a great image.

Creative idea to have the gondola relate amusingly to the hot-air balloon.

MossyB has highlighted how the balloon and gondola don't properly relate visually as a consistent whole, so I'll just focus on the balloon itself.

The balloon should be opaque so background clouds don't shine through. 'Giant pelican roosting on a traditional, boring-brown hot-air balloon' doesn't quite seem consistent with the theme objective. Maybe the traditional-hot-air-balloon portion could be replaced with a hot-air-balloon pelican's nest.

I think I might be willing to accept a human passenger as the moral equivalent of a gondola. But lighting consistency is indeed an issue, as is lack of rope shadows for ropes that could benefit from more-refined edges This is very creative and has a lot of dramatic potential.

The whites on the car are too bright in comparison to the rest of the image, hurting the illusion.
You can try lowering the brightness of them slightly with the Burn Tool, or Image>Adjustments>Selective Color>Whites, increasing the black slider at the bottom.

You might also consider lightening the background image, as it seems very dim and dark, which compounds the too light child and car image.

The balloon has wrong shadows, it has light int he middle some shadow on the right when the light source according to the model comes from the right.

The shading on the balloon needs to be adjusted a bit to better match the shadows on the girl, and the rope at the bottom is a bit too hard - lightly going over the edges with the Blur Tool at a low percentage (maybe 20%) should help that.

This is good work putting together all those sources.

Look at the source pic. One ear is higher than the other, and the center of the ears should be lower, in line with the eyes. The color match could still be better.

The ears are too high (if you really want them to be that big) and could be color matched better.

The light reflection in the eyes is a bit distracting, and is inconsistent with the back lighting of the background.
