I agree ... this is a lovely effort and definitely moving in the right direction!!!

Could desaturate it some or give it a more "night" colour (blues & purples work well for night). Except where the lamp is (as Stowsk mentioned) the lamp is fine casting a soft yellow glow.

Other than that I will leave the shadow comments to those with more skill in that area ... I think you are getting pretty close (but as I have said before, shadows are not my strong point).

Overall this is looking to be a very lovely image ... I think I will wait to vote as I think this image could get better and better!

Nice change ... I like the way the one boat is lit by the moon. I think there would be some light on the water (especially where the wave is peaking/hitting the beach ... it could even be used to draw the eye into the image). Just a thought!

Thought I should re-comment to let you know I wasn't suggesting you needed spillage! Definitely ... no spillage ... it is perfect without! The clean edges really add to the whimsy of the image. I love the clean lines and only mentioned it because I liked that about it .

Great work but agree with Mossy ... a background would give a more real feel ... what about a sky.
Could have very minimal white clouds and could be mostly blue. That would not change it much from what you have now but might add some punch (and it seems to need something to make it "pop".

Nice attempt at a difficult tutorial. I can see you put some effort into this and it is a learning process ... that is what tutorials are for, right? I think greymval's suggestion are valid and helpful.
