Great effect ... I agree, it doesn't look like weaving but you have created a whole new look

I think to get a more woven look you would have to darken the strips where the go under the other strip (the strips would be darker as the go further away/under. Great tut to try! I would like to give it a whirl sometime!

One small thing ... I think the shadow may be off a bit. Model looks to be lit from the upper right (the moon) but I believe the cast shadow looks as if the light is coming from the upper left. I am not the best person with shading (it is my least favourite thing) but it just seemed not quite right IMO.

It is not that big a problem but just a thought ... you could offset the fungus so it wasn't quite so centered. It would give the image a little tension ... you can check out the info on the Rule of Thirds here ... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rule_of_thirds ... hope that helps.

Fun image ... the legs could use a little bit of shading so they don't appear so flat. You can do it by selecting the image then create an levels adjustment layer that will have the legs as a mask, then you can adjust the Levels to darken the image and "paint" down the center of the legs mask to reduce/remove the darkening from that part of the legs. Leaving the darkened edges.

It is a very fun image! Clever idea but poor crab!

Fun and original work ... know what greymval was saying but agreed with your response and can see what you were looking for. Like that you left the background ... does give it a neighbourly look!

Would love to see a high res version ... it looks good but very hard to tell with small image. You will probably get a better score if you can upload a High res.

Truly scary image. Gives me the creeps but a perfect image for B&W ... looks like an outtake from a 1950's movie!

Very interesting image ... I find it a little dark around the women. I can't decide if it works better that way or not but it is a very clever and fascinating image..
