Impressive mood piece ... there is some technical problems but as a piece of artwork without considering the technical I think it is a wonderful image. If you have any questions on the technical PM me ... but IMO the image has quite a lot of depth and expression just the way it is!

I think the artist that MnM is looking for is Rene Magritte's and in particular the image 'Son of Man'.

This definitely has the same feeling but does it in it's own unique way!!!!

As he is in a city where the light can be coming from a variety of sources I don't there is quite as much of a problem here. Great image and an unusual take on the source!

Love the concept and the originality. I agree that the reflection is a hard one on this. Not sure if you would see the girls face at that angle but it is pretty cool and I would be inclined to accept some Artistic License on that. I can't begin to figure out how to work reflection with out a 3d method and I can't do 3D so I am hopeless. I have floated thing in water, beside water and above water but it is never the same as a true model.

What an incredible story ... actually brought tears to my eyes and I am not kidding. I may be a bit of a sap but that is how it effected me!

I adopted a baby raccoon once who's mother had been killed by a dog. They are amazing little people ... I found a home in the country for her and the basically let her run loose. One Spring day she found a mate and disappeared for the Season. She did come back occasionally but never really stayed after that.

Anyway ... lovely story ... and bravo for the effort you made in the little ones behalf!

Wild ... he does have an evil look to him for sure. It is wild when dogs yawn ... they can look so mean but they are just a little sleepy!

He looks so forlorn and lonely. I hope someone adopted him! It definitely expresses a sense of dejection and sadness!

I don't think it matters how often or how little you see them they are so amazing and impressive especially in flight; they take your breath away!

You should come to BC, Canada during salmon spawning season .. there are hundreds of them! But there is nothing like the first shot of something as impressive as these incredible birds!. It is truly a special image!
