(5 years and 3110 days ago)Magical!
(5 years and 3110 days ago)Secret note to Author. When submitting an entry you can tick the box on the submission page that says "Publish entry later (via 'my contest entries')" and then you have all the time in the world to get it right before anyone sees it. You can check your links, your SBS and see how the image looks in Hi Res. Then when you are all done just go to My Stuff>My Entries>Hit the "Publish Entry" button. Voila, you have a perfect submission. That is until someone notices something else is wrong ... happens to me all the time but at least I get some of the problems taken care of before anyone can see!
(5 years and 3110 days ago)I would suggest for future work that you spend a bit more time on your masking. It will help refine and enhance your work. It is a pain to get it right but worth the effort.
(5 years and 3110 days ago)It all starts there, no matter how good everything else is, if you have left-over pixels, smudgy bits and outlines it can ruin a great image. You idea is very good, your masking needs some more work. To get you going try checking out this tutorial on how to mask trees ... hope it helps http://www.pxleyes.com/tutorial/photoshop/1272/How-To-Mask-A-Tree-In-3-Minutes.html
Excellent work ... a difficult one to do!
(5 years and 3110 days ago)Lovely, refined work! Great SBS as well!
(5 years and 3110 days ago)Very sweet ... love the look on their faces ....ohhhh!
(5 years and 3110 days ago)Just wonderful ... she is a real "character" ... fantastic work!
(5 years and 3110 days ago)Great constructionism!
(5 years and 3110 days ago)Would love to have seen a SBS for this ... you have done a wonderful job at capturing the despair. A very emotional and sad image!
(5 years and 3110 days ago)Beautifully conceived and very well done!
(5 years and 3110 days ago)Super work and even though she is kinda creepy she is kinda cute too! It's a two for one elf!
(5 years and 3110 days ago)Very well done ... A thought for future enties ... you may get a better score if you can include a step-by-step (SBS) description of your work process ... just take screen prints as you go along, then post them with a brief description ... that'll do the trick .
(5 years and 3110 days ago)Huge amount of work ... masking until you were almost blind, no doubt ...not sure if that is how you did it but however it is a great, if subtle, result!
(5 years and 3110 days ago)Sweet ... but poor auntie!
(5 years and 3110 days ago)Lovely concept!
(5 years and 3110 days ago)Interesting idea. Without sounding redundant, you could have hybridized the 2 words "cereal" and "serial" to "cerial" or "sereal". Either would have kept the concept and still sounded like the original world (personally I think sereal is cool 'cause it sort of looks like the word surreal; you then get a triple play on words . I think people are just trying to help although the diplomacy can be lacking sometimes. Generally some critiques are worthwhile and some aren't. IMO "it is usually better just to ignore the ones you don't agree with and learn from the others."
(5 years and 3110 days ago)Stunning work! Welcome and a wonderful start!
(5 years and 3110 days ago)Very interesting image!
(5 years and 3110 days ago)This just has to be viewed in Hi Res ... very well done, especially the whirlpool! This is (also) a favourite of mine in this contest! Good SBS as well.
(5 years and 3110 days ago)Definitely one of my favourites in this competition ... super idea! Wish there was a hi res though
(5 years and 3110 days ago)Love the Skull and Crossbone shoes! I want a pair
(5 years and 3110 days ago)I think this might be a Marabou stork but not sure???
(5 years and 3111 days ago)Another masterpiece for my collection. Love the use of the source in this ... not only for the creation of your figures but the fact that you have it clearly visible as well. Nice concept and very good execution! High marks and instant fav!
(5 years and 3111 days ago)Inspiring in it's simplicity and cleverness... great work and very well conceived!
(5 years and 3111 days ago)I like it .. has a sweetness to it that is very appealing (to me)
(5 years and 3111 days ago)I am not a big aircraft person but this is a beautiful shot. Great clarity and detail!
(5 years and 3111 days ago)Not an easy catch ... I have chased bee's around myself and they are not great models ... you'd think they were movie stars and we the paparazzi!
(5 years and 3111 days ago)Lovely!
(5 years and 3111 days ago)Very interesting shot ... love that the one guy is so sharp and the others have a sense of movement. It is almost as if you froze time

(5 years and 3111 days ago)Almost looks like a statue. Great Dappling!
(5 years and 3111 days ago)If there was a prize for the most arches in one image this one would win ... great shot. I missed this when in Venice and could kick myself (maybe someday I will get to go back)!
(5 years and 3111 days ago)Fascinating view and interesting perspective!
(5 years and 3111 days ago)Lovely ... amazing symmetry!
