arca: Both ... they each have a place in this world ... even if the aren't colours!

arca: Varies ... like a challenge of the Source photo contest but non-source can be fun... anything that inspires me really.

arca: Brush ... love making them and Smudge, used with restraint.

arca: Blur, High pass and Liquefy ... right now

arca: Anonymity, voting system and the demand for proper usage of stock. I also like the critiques when they are well thought out and given with respect and restraint.

arca: Not knowing what I am doing ... hopefully this will change. Poor critiques that are just thrown out there with no regard for peoples feelings or the amount of effort that was put into the art. Sometimes it is not a bad idea to just look at the art for arts sake.

I have noticed that often the better images get the critiques and the ones that really need help and have less skill don't get a comment. That seems sad to me.

But all that said ... I find the critiques for the most part very fair and considered.

arca: Maybe ...you'd have to ask them ... don't want to be considered a stalker ;-) More each day ... have a lot of people who have been very kind and friendly and helpful.

arca: Too much ... way too much.

arca: Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Paint (just a little ...older version). A few plugins and that's about it although I have tried others.

arca: Photoshop for now ... haven't enough time to vote on others and don't think it is fair if I don't understand the "medium"

As for the type of art ... I look for good, clean workmanship, creativity, composition, impact and appeal. Only the last is truly a personal thing and if an image does not appeal to me but has the others covered I will score as high as something that does appeal. And, although, less often, the oppositie happens as well. Sometimes something iis just so well concieved that even if the person is not the best chopper in the world the "impact" will make me up my vote (as long as it is not "lazy' mistakes).

arca: So far ...IDt8r, iamanoop, Jaskier, and CorneliaMladenova, Spaceranger and a variety of others ... I am sure there will be more ... just need time to find all their names!
